My association with Dr. Wish goes back almost 15 years. I was referred to him by my internist following several episodes with A-Fib, which is prevalent in my family. After trying to stabilize me on anti-arrhythmia drugs for several months, we went for the cryoablation option in 2011. Later he implanted a loop recorder that proved the ablation was working perfectly. I have been A-fib free since the ablation. From the first time I met him my confidence in him and his associates has never wavered. We all have only one heart and I trust this man with mine totally. I still see him once a year, good checkups every time. Wonderful bedside manner. I wish the care I have received would have been available to my family members over many years and am eternally grateful to Dr. Wish. He’s the best!

Excellent doctor. He provided great service when I came in the emergency department at Wakemed. Would love him to be a pediatrician to treat and provide quality service to our 2 year old daughter and the rest of our children. Very educated with much knowledge.

Dr. Wish completely put me at ease with all issues concerning my pacemaker. I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and manner. He answered all my questions and was willing to spend as much time as I needed. I also have seen his assistant, Ann and she too is wonderful.

I was impressed with Dr. Wish since my first appointment! He is a gifted diagnostician not only because he is an expert in his field but also because he tries to listen to his patients first. You never feel rushed with him. He always explains things in clear terms and tries to answer all your questions. This doctor loves what he does and cares about his patients. One of the things that strikes me still is that he is the Chief of Cardiology at INOVA Fairfax but he is extremely responsive to his patients' needs. Dr. Wish is a kind, compassionate, and caring doctor. He returns phone calls and is pretty punctual with office visits. Like a previous reviewer stated, he also may come and get you from the waiting room or stop by unexpectedly at the hospital if he knows you are there even if you are not there as his patient. I have been his patient for a long time and he was able to diagnose a condition that had baffled other cardiologists for years and also educated me on what my treatment options were as things changed. I always feel the advice I get from him is what he would tell any family member. Great doctor!
