List of Maryann Giordano Md's Reviews
Dr. Giordano is excellent. At my annual physical I had a handful of questions and she was happy to address them in detail without any rush. She is thoughtful and sensible, very trustworthy. I will continue seeing her even though I have moved from VA to a far away (and sunnier) state.
Poor communication with patient especially in view of telling me I may have cancer. There is no phone call involved she was confused initially saying I need another oncology referral and then changing her mind and then putting in the referral she seems confused and not up to speed. Bedside manner not very good go elsewhere
Told me I may have cancer yet never called as I requested to explain what was going on was over five weeks before I can get a referral to Oncology stated on the lab exam I need a referral five weeks later said chart review did not warrant a referral yet she writes a referral the next day seems to be confused main problem lack of communication with patient husband died of same cancer she told me I may have no human touch no communication directly on phone as requested it’s really unacceptable bedside manner do not use her we are totally disappointed
Very rude doctor. I showed up 5min early for my appointment and still waited 35min in the waiting room. First thing she said when she came in was “sorry for being late but if you were on time you wouldn’t have had to wait so long”. She was very rough with me and said multiple things about my age. I asked her a couple questions about my medication and her answers were vague. When trying to ask again she said “you’re not listening to me”. Worst doctor I have ever seen. I was stuck seeing her because my doctor was booked.
I've struggled to find a good fit with a General Practitioner. Dr. Giordano wasn't it. I had been complaining of severe stomach pain for months -- saying that I felt like I was eating ground glass in my food. She did some bloodwork, didn't find anything, and was dismissive. "Dr. Google" led me to suspect a gall bladder issue, something my grandmother had dealt with. I brought it up with Dr. Giordano and she grudgingly agreed to let me get an abdominal scan. It showed "something". She left a two sentence message on my answering machine to tell me this. "It's a gall stone. Eat less fat." I searched out another doctor. Six months later my gall bladder was removed. It wasn't a gall stone, it was a growth (fortunately not cancerous). My gall bladder had been inflamed because of the growth. I felt better within a week of the surgery. This doctor is, in my humble opinion, completely unfit.
I have never felt rushed during my appointments with Dr. Giordano. She is very knowledgeable and is always pleasant. As a matter of fact, she responded to a phone call I made as she was in her car, leaving for vacation. Although I have not yet visited her in her new office, I look forward to keeping her as my Primary Care doctor, wherever she is.
Always ready to see me. I understand some English and I like that she allows my daughter to explain what I don't understand at the doctor's visit. Amazing! The communication flows very smoothly through this translation- a very comforting experience.
The patient is very important for Dr. Giordano and her professional care always shows. Even her staff.
I visited Dr. Giordano for a general physical. She seemed stressed and distracted. When I discussed the results a few days later on the phone, she downplayed all my questions and became snappy. I do not trust this person and will not visit her again.
Even after asking several times if basic health check up is covered by insurance and getting a yes, I was charged by the doctor’s office for services I should not have been. Weeks and many phone calls later with Health Insurance I got an updated invoice – please note – corrected only by hand and not even printing a new invoice. Very unfriendly and rude.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
