List of National Spine & Pain Centers Fairfax's Reviews
The nurse practitioner I saw was pleasant and listened to me. However, she said she would prescribe me a muscle relaxant, double checked they had my pharmacy, and then never actually prescribed it. After a day when my pharmacy still didn't have it, I called and was sent to a voicemail. I left a message, and it said specifically that you should not call back and leave another message. Well, they never sent the prescription and never called me back.
Compassionate care
Dr and PA listened to all my issues and decided the right plan to help solve my pain Can’t live with out Dr Whittenburg or Stephanie. I’m able to move around with much less pain
Great place, had a preliminary that went well, but I've been here in the past and they helped me tremendously the first time
I can't say if the office is nice or not, I never got in. Be advised the parking lot is awful, even at 7.45am I had to park literally as far as humanly possible clear across several buildings. Since I am disabled switching Dr's I have been off my nerve medications for 3 months now and am in a lot of pain. It took me 20 minutes just to park and hobble across the giant parking lot, and when I arrived they said I was too late for my appt (about 10 min past the appt time) and would not be seen today. Then I had to walk all the way back to my car with no meds, now in much more pain, without having ever seen a Dr. I understand keeping to a schedule but I had no expectation their parking lot would be horrible with nowhere to go and that I'd need to walk a ridiculous amount on bad knees. It seems a bad choice for a pain management clinic. I'm not rescheduling because the thought of doing this walking twice for every visit here is miserable and God forbid my legs cause me delay again. Could be a great facility, I dont know. Just know the parking sucks and plan for that especially if you have a mobility issue like me.
Suggestion to patients Front desk is difficult but do not give up. After you follow w front desk’s requirements in 2 or 3 visits you insist to see the doctors who will treat you. A real pain specialist MD physicians are the one for treatment. After initial evaluation by others. I wrote one review few months ago. I had great experience with Dr. Beverly Whittenburg, MD 7 years ago I persistently requested to see her. Today I saw Dr. Whittenburg. The inside area of office is spacious and spotless clean. I received 2 injections 6 hrs ago. Every step was smooth, the physician and her assisstant both are kind caring and very thorough with their work. I am explained with detail instructions for self care by me at home. Thank you Dr. W and Jamal - her assisstant. God bless you with healing hands to relieve sufferings of people who trust you. Love you.
Not satisfactory. Felt like rushing towards injection without hearing my full concern. And discussing full options and go forward plan
Always professional and courteous. Seen within 5 or 10 minutes of checking in. Doctors and Physician Assistants do their best to find solutions to your health issues and are willing to listen and discuss various options. I would recommend to anyone seeking professional help with their pain management issues. They have done an excellent job of helping me to improve my situation. I'm not sure where I'd be without their help.
This review is for 8501 Prosperity Center reception only I saw NP first visit was a good experience. NP said I will see Dr. Whittenburg at my next appt. While in their office the reception made my second appt. date. Because I had very good experience 7 years ago with Dr. Beverly Whittenburg and ex-Team in previous office I like to see her again. This new location and new team concerns me. Because after receiving a text confirming a reminder for my second appt. I called the office to check if they receive my Xray, MRI results. The reception said “Good you call because your appt. is move further. Reason.. the doctor has full schedule that day. You need to see NP for intake first” I reminded NP did intake first time few weeks ago and told me I will see Dr. Beverly Whittenburg in my second visit. She insisted only if I see NP again she will schedule me to see Dr. W only as courtesy. ?? I agreed to see NP again if I see Dr. Whittenburg same date after NP. She assured me that I will see Dr. Whittenburg after NP on the same date, may have to wait a little bit. I accepted I got confirmation text again for second visit w NP no mention w same date appt w Dr. Whittenburg. I called today to remind reception I will see both NP and MD same day. Both calls today to office were sent to announcements and when prompt to speak the phone was dropped twice. I am hoping on my second visit things will be better. I will update again.
always a pleasure to come to this office

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
