List of Patricia Lucey's Reviews
I have been seeing Dr Lucey for skin checks for several years. I have found her to be very knowledgeable and caring. I would highly recommend her.
Dr Lucey was very smart, decisive and friendly. I was very comfortable with her bed side manner and glad to have found a personable and smart dermatologist.
Dr Lucey was friendly, efficient, and smart. I appreciated her ability to take care of issues in 1 visit and felt like I was in good hands.
I saw Dr. Lucey in November for a routine skin screen. She biopsied two spots, one was what I thought was a bug bite (result confirmed). Inova gave me an estimate of services at $237, but was billed over $1000. Way overcharged for what seems like unnecessary procedures. Go outside of Inova for skin care treatment.
Dr Lucey is absolutely one of the finest doctores that I have ever worked with. She is absolutely great, communites tremendously and is a top doctor in the Northern Virginia area - an area where many doctors feel that you are a number versus Dr Patrica who looks at every patient with care and compassion. I give her my highest rating!! Thanks! Cliff
Dr Lucey is fabulous; she’s warm, caring, a good listener and professional. Best of all, when she treated several spots and tested two others, I had only the slightest bit of discomfort. We have melanoma in the family, so it’s important to me to have a very competent dermatologist. I have complete confidence in Dr Lucey.
After taking my son for acne treatment to 2 other dermatologists, we finally had great success with Dr. Lucey. He took accurate which is a commitment and she guided and supported us from start to finish. She’s very knowledgeable, has a great straightforward manner.., I’ve sent a number of friends to her with non acne issues and they have been very pleased.
I see her for melanoma prevention. She is thorough and detailed.
A memorable experience - lack of current experience in fields outside "standard" dermatology and skin cancer, prejudging diagnosis, and a random 10 minute internet search led Dr. Patricia Lucey to the conclusion there was nothing wrong. Add in a condescending attitude and a billing issue, and it was time to go elsewhere. Simply an awful experiance.
I have never in my life posted a review of any service, restaurant or product I have received. The first time I met with Dr. Lucey I thought she was smart, decisive and friendly. She recommended laser treatment for precancerous sun spots and unwanted facial hair. Two days after my treatment I have severe second degree burns covering the entire lower part of my face. Dr. Lucey told me I would have two hours of redness and swelling and then I'd be fine. Several hours after the therapy I noticed large red and brown burns with blisters forming. I called the office and was told there was no way to page or contact Dr. Lucey (what?). I was asked to come in to see the physician's assistant. She immediately called Dr. Tamjidi, the head of the office, in to see me. Dr. Tamjidu put me on a prescription topical steroid, an antibiotic and an anti-Herpes medicine bc the burns can cause cold sores. I will go see Dr. Tamjidi in a week to determine next steps but at this stage my entire lower face has extremely visible burns like a hot iron was taken to my face. Dr. Tamjidi told me that Dr. Lucey should have used a 30-35 level setting with the laser, and records showed that she used a 75. There is absolutely no explanation for this doctor ruining my face. What is possibly even more insulting is that I'm two days out and haven't received a phone call, an email, or anything from Dr. Lucey. Abominable. If you would like to see photos of my completely destroyed face please message me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
