List of Randolph Stephenson's Reviews
Had the worst experience with this doctor. Not sure how he came so highly recommended as he is not only super unhelpful, but actually UNWILLING to help altogether. His sense of logic is also all over the place. I was really baffled by his responses when I asked questions because he just seemed so ignorant and honestly... not very smart. So it's either that or he really just does not care about his patients. My mother has been a patient for two years and he literally did absolutely nothing to help diagnose my mom or figure out next best steps. He is absolutely a waste of time and money and frankly, should not be a doctor.
Horrific experience with this doctor. He is not helpful and actually UNWILLING to help his patients. No logic whatsover when asked questions about symptoms, possible illnesses, or next steps. His response would just be, "oh, i'm not qualified to speak on that" over and over again. So what exactly are you qualified to speak on as we are seeking your advice for a patient of the past 2-3 years? Incredible waste of time and money.
Cursory, unhelpful, and superficial. Jumped to a diagnosis in 5 minutes and barely explained it
Cursory, hurried appointment. Provided poor explanations and answered few questions. Treated a Parkinson’s diagnosis like no big deal.
Dr. Randolph Stevenson came highly recommended to me at a time when I was not well and looking for answers yet unable to find them. I was told he was, "the best of the best", and in my humble opinion is absolutely is. He is a great listener and actually hears me when I tell him how I am feeling. He has a great personality and as someone else has already stated, he has a great bedside manner. Just an amazing human being who is really good at what he does. My son recently needed the services of a neurologist and I didn't have to think twice about who to see.
Excellent neurologist. Rare blend of intelligence and compassion.
Always careful, thorough and took the time to check in ok me as a patient. He even called me because he noticed a tiny detail on one of my forms and wanted to check in . Can not recommend enough.
Amazing Neurologist. Super-smart and great bedside manner.
Thorough, listens, takes his time and gives you confidence in his ability to diagnose and treat.
Dr. Stephenson is an excellent neurologist. in 2015 I was out town and developed a severe case of Vertigo. When I got home I went to my Primary Doctor (Dr Jenkins) and an ENT . Neither could determine what was going on. I visited my Neurologist Dr Randolph Stephenson of Neurology Center of Fairfax. 5 minutes into my exam he excused himself and came back with a prescription for and MRI and had already made an appointment for me with Dr Chandela the next Day His accurate diagnosis of an Arteriovenous Malformation ( a blood clot in the brain.) was correct. He told me that this was VERY Serious and he did not want to wait. Dr Chandela reviewed my MRI and scheduled my surgery the next day. He tried minimal invasive surgery but the AVM was growing to fast. The following week I had to a full AVM removal.Without this fast diagnosis from Dr Stephenson and surgery by Dr Chandela I probably would have died. I found out later that there were only 50 trained surgeons in this procedure in the USA. If I had been rushed to a emergency room and they could not diagnose the AVM, I would have died.I literally owe my life to them. I was VERY Fortunate.Since the surgery I have had no side effects nor recurrence of the AVM.I HIGHLY recommend Dr Stephenson and DR Chandela .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
