Richard A Broderick Md's Online Review Report Card

He is an attentive, amazing doctor and I am sad he left Inova Primary Care - Ballston. I have been assigned to another doctor who can't tell an arm from a leg. Dr. Broderick is nice, thorough, skilled and I would recommend him to any of my family or friends.

If you are looking for a doctor that will compassionately listen and attempt to understand you... go somewhere else. I have since been diagnosed with chronic active EBV, ME/CFS, and hyperadrenic POTS. When I saw Dr B, he ran one CBC which was normal. When I attempted to mention some other tests I thought might be important, he said “We can drain all the blood in your body but eventually you’ll have to accept that nothing is wrong” then said I was depressed or on my period.

Great doctor and a great Arlington office. Very convenient office with friendly staff (from front desk to nurses to doctors to blood work staff) who usher you through in a seamless and efficient operation. Dr. Broderick evaluates your current condition and has a conversation about any next steps or actions. Quick but thorough!

Dr. Broderick is truly wonderful. He is also very friendly and knowledgeable. He has been able to provide me with recommendations for other doctors and always responds timely to my messages. I am happy I found him

Excellent physician, top. He listens to every single one of my concerns and addresses them properly. Very knowledgeable. All of the Inova Arlington Staff are courteous and professional. Practically no waiting time. Nurses are so sweet and attentive. I love Inova's MyChart application, you can see all your Medical information - from your office visits, to request your refills, see your Test results, even pre-Check-in, they send you reminders, a calendar invite - an absolute beauty. So useful and efficient. Every time I receive a post-appointment survey to ask if I received amazing service, and I do every single time. I cannot say enough good things! Highly recommended.

Thank you for Saving My Life! The results of my MRI were coming over the fax machine (while I was waiting at my Chiropractor's office) in the form of handwritten notes as Dr. Broderick was driving (in his car) between hospitals. My Chiropractor was delivering the news of a "spot on my brain" while calling Dr. Broderick's office. Dr. Broderick's nurse called him in his car and explained what she knew. Meanwhile, I was sent to the ER at OSF Rockford. I was in a life threatening situation and was none the wiser. Everyone around me was panicking and I was clueless. Two days later, I had a 5 hour brain surgery to remove a tumor the size of a pea and a cyst the size of a lemon near my brain stem. Then 4 days later, I was married. I am home healing with basically no side effects. If it hadn't been for the skill and hard work of the Ortho Illinois team and Dr. Broderick I would not be here today... typing this review. Thank you isn't a big enough word!

Some doctors you have to wait forever before they give you 5 min of their time and others say Okay okay to all you say. Not this doctor! This young physician treats you with utmost respect and is so prompt and professional. One time I was very upset with my injury and didn't believe the interpretation of my x-ray. What did Dr Broderick do? He had the technician send me a confirmation email. Wow...where can you get that kind of service? Knowing my inquisitive nature, this time too he sent me the readings of my x-ray as soon as they were read by the radiology. Young male secretary at the front desk...courteous and so professional. Highly recommend this doctor.

I fought hard with the system in help finding me the right treatment where I never gave up and at times was aggressive. that said when I went to see Dr Broderick for follow-up, he said he felt encouraged in such a joyful tone. now those are words I never expect to hear from a doctor! to me it just related to how much he genuinely cares about his patient's well-being. praises for front desk staff for his professionalism and nurse who always treats me with respect. last but not least, high points on handshake improvement for Dr Broderick.

an amazing physician who by random pick I happen to select. always on time, fine professionalism and outstanding staff. I know by heart I can be a demanding patient due to the fact that my condition was worsening. at this point in time I can confidently say that Dr Broderick has exceeded my expectations as a PCP by continuously attempting to address my needs and questions as a caring physician. though his hand shake had become very wobbly since my last visit, it's his ability to listen then reason in pointing out the right treatment plan that really makes him stand out.

tho his hand shake has become very wobbly since my last visit, I must say Dr Broderick far exceeded my expectation as a PCP this time. due to the continuous pain revolving my recent finger fracture after surgery, I had gone back to see both the plastic surgeon and orthopedic doc. they both told me let's continue to monitor which irritated me because my pain was very intense and bothersome. as an informative patient, I stated my problems but in the end I simply needed referral to a pain specialist. Dr Broderick made sure he addressed all of my problems including making referral for pain, occupational therapy, reason for use of brace given by ortho and new OTC medication to take for chronic pain. what makes him stand out is not so much his listening skills but rather how he reasons with demanding patients like me by providing appropriate medical knowledge.
