Terrible, wrong diagnosis and I spent a lot of time in pain. Is arrogant and rude, does not listen and is in a hurry to get the appointment over.

I wonder if this Doctor or any Doctor at the Neurology Center of Fairfax knows the difference between a Migraine Headache and Trigeminal Neuralgia. They would probably tell you we can’t spend enough time with the patient to make that determination or we don’t treat that. If Dr. Seestedt would listen to patients and get rid of his arrogance, he might be an effective doctor.

Dr. S was insulting to my husband who has memory problems. He is arrogant and really does not have the temperment to work with patients. He never reviewed the MRI or psych workup with us. When we tried to change doctors within the group we were told no one would accept new patients who switch within the practice. The staff seems to see their job as policing the patients. Avoid this group

I dropped off a medical form to be filled out by the Dr for My mother in law who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. The form is required to initiate her long term care policy to admit her to a proper memory care facility where spaces are limited. After 3 weeks of waiting for the form to be filed out and paying a $50.00 fee I showed up in the office to collect the form only to be told the DR never received it from his staff., by the receptionist who looked up the notes in the file. On top of that I was shuffled into a waiting room for 30 minutes and then told by the medical records staff (that escorted me to a private room) that of course the Dr had it and the 4th of July holiday had delayed it even though it had been submitted to their office on 6/21. The medical records tech lied directly to me even though I had just had the receptionist read me the notes directly from her computer 30 minutes prior! While the doctor is medically knowledgeable, the communication and practice of working within the patience best interest is disgustingly lacking and completely unethical. I would never recommend this practice particularly;y if you are dealing with any patient that requires full time neurological care. They are is no regard for the well being of the patient that cannot advocate for themselves.

Excellent experience with Dr. Seestedt. Very thorough...punctual and explained things in a a concise manner.

Very arrogant and extremely loud. Didn’t listen. Made fun of my “large calves” as I walked down the hallway. Said I walked like a toddler. Making fun of a patient’s physical appearance or gait is very hurtful and seems unethical. Awful at communicating .not sure of his knowledge because he has such high opinion of himself.

This was the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered. He was late to the appointment, was arrogant and condescending. For someone to go into this practice and be less than kind. He limited questions and did not have empathy in what was a family trying to understand a tough diagnosis. Don’t waste your time.

I met Dr. Seedstredt today, and I was positively overwhelmed with his thoroughness and his communication. I struggle with aphasia and communication, he was very patient with me. He had a lot of energy and was very engaged with our appointment. I felt listened to, and I feel that I have a plan. I really appreciate everything that he did, and I feel amazing now that he is my neurologist!

Dr. Richard Seestedt is a talented and experienced neurologist. I found him to be very attentive, empathetic, compassionate, thorough, and a competent specialist. He was recommended to me by two other specialists, so to me that indicates respect in the medical community. You are not going to see a neurologist to make friends; although I found him to be friendly. Office is very busy; lots of patients.

These people don't care about you, apparently. I waited 27 minutes to talk to them to make my first appointment, and once someone answered, before I could unmute my phone, they'd already hung up. I've never had a worse phone experience with a doctor in my life.
