Richard R Rosenthal's Online Review Report Card

I have never ever experienced such unprofessional and incompetent staff at a medical office. I have been working in the medical field myself for the last 5.5 years. If anyone understands how hard it can be to keep up with patient requests and demands it's me. The staff at Dr. Rosenthal's office have taken the bar and lowered it further than I ever thought possible. Not only are they rude and sound like they are bothered by you calling but they also are unsafe in their practice. They mix up vials all the time (it's happened to me 3x), they lose medical records and they apparently have no problem sending you bills for vials that over the phone you were told were never made. Good luck trying to call to find out if your vials are up to date because they are closed almost all the time. Because of the above things, I am currently in the process of switching my care to another allergist at GW hospital. My first piece of advice for anyone considering this practice is RUN as far away as you can. If that isn't an option for you, then make sure you double and triple check the name AND birthday on the vials that they are drawing the injection from. Using 2 person identifiers to ensure appropriate medicine administration is standard practice at our clinic and everywhere else except here.

Dr. Rosenthal is amazing very attentive and his staff they are all amazing. From the moment we walk in with Sandy who is friendly and easy to talk too. I get shots sometimes once a week and maybe two times a week and the only person I want to give me my shots is Michelle she is amazing and I ask for Michelle to give me shots. Michelle has always been fun and friendly to all of the patients who come into contact with her. I would recommend this practice to anyone who has allergies and wants a caring, you want a painless shot ask for Michelle. Very compassionate and dedicated staff to care for you.

Dr. Rosenthal is extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. His stuff is super helpful and always very professional. The office hours are convenient and there is never a very long wait.

Dr. Rosenthal is very nice and considerate. While some doctors are in and out Dr. Rosenthal spent a full hour with me. He has really helped me get to the bottom of my allergies. And he seems to care about his patients like people and not just numbers

I had a doctor referral for Dr. Rosenthal. I made multiple attempts to make an appointment and the front desk was very rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful. I have never experienced such poor treatment from a doctor's office over the phone. I was never even able to make an appointment after multiple attempts and decided to find a different doctor. I have heard fantastic things about Dr. Rosenthal, I wish his office staff was the same.

I do not understand the critical reviews for this practice. They are the exact opposite of my own years-long experience with Dr. Rosenthal and his staff at Fairfax. In over a hundred visits for many years all of them have been absolutely excellent in every way, uniformly. Most important, my allergy treatments are a gigantic success, fully effective. I used to be absolutely miserable every spring and now I actually welcome it because my seasonal allergy symptoms have been eliminated by this genius doctor. NO ONE is going to treat my allergies but Dr. Rosenthal.

Dr Rosenthal is simply amazing. I tend to feel doctors are always rushed and too quick to send you on your way with a prescription, but not Dr Rosenthal. He asked me very specific questions in topics I wouldn't assume effected my allergies. He did not leave my side until all my questions were answered and assured me i was good to go. He really cared about me and tested me for allergies a second time to make sure i was all good. Some doctors don't take your suggestions seriously if you assume you know your illness. He ask you why you think that and gives you detailed answer as to why he believes you don't, and i respect that. I really want the best relief for people like i had. Never never will go back to him!! First of all office staff never verified my benefits, dr was late getting into the office and then he claims that I imagined my allergy all in my head and told me to go to my happy place when I go home. Billing staff also in cooperative. Almost considered suicide on my way home due to the injection he gave me that I had a reaction to.
