Best in the area100% recommended I did my right bonion surgery with Dr.Hallavis and everything was perfect.
I do have insurance but charged me $200 just for a 10mins online consultation??? The worst service ever!!!
We took our daughter (in college) to see him. He was very pleasant, as well as the staff. We were pleased with the outcome.
Dr Hallivis seems very competent but I decided not to continue going to the practice because his support staff/front desk people are so incompetent. I've never had one appointment that wasn't a major hassle for one reason or another.
Today was my second visit with Dr. Hallivis over the course of several years. He is excellent at diagnosing issues and explaining them in a way that is comprehensible. He is also exceedingly thorough. My appointment today was about an issue I am having with my one foot but while I was there I pointed out a concern with one of my toes that my dermatologist has not been able to figure out. Dr, Hallivis immediately knew what the problem was. Also, as an aside I arrived on time and did not have to wait. That was true for my prior visit as well. I highly recommend him if you are having any problems or concerns with your feet or ankles. Today was my second visit with Dr. Hallivis over the course of several years. Dr. Hallivis is a knowledgeable, skilled podiatrist and surgeon. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He explains everything thoroughly and is always happy to answer any questions. My teenage daughter had exhausted all other possible treatments for her extreme foot pain over the years; including 2 sets of custom made orthodics, physical therapy, several shock therapy sessions, massage, air cast, limited activity, etc. with no relief. She was an athlete and had to give up sports entirely. Her condition was so bad, it was painful to walk, starting with her first step out of bed every morning. Thankfully, we were referred to Dr. Hallivis by another excellent podiatrist. My daughter required reconstructive surgery on both feet due to her pes cavus condition. He made sure to followup with several post-op visits after each surgery. Both surgeries, 3 months apart, were a success and included Steindler stripping, DFWO osteotomy and calcaneal osteotomy. Dr. Hallivis has a great sense of humor and kept my daughter laughing and in good spirits throughout her ordeal. He has a big heart, is compassionate, and truly cares about his patients. My daughter was actually sad when we had the last post-op evaluation visit. She is now able to walk pain free for the first time in years! We both highly recommend Dr. Hallivis. He and his kind staff were all extremely helpful and wonderful each and every visit.
Absolutely horrible customer service/receptionist! Booked an appointment AFTER I confirmed with my insurance that I did *NOT* need a referral, since it was an ER follow up. An hour after I made the appt., I get a call from this office telling me that I need to get a referral before my appt. I called back and before I could even get a word in to explain that I had called and sorted out the referral issue, the receptionist went on and on and on, telling me I had to get this referral or my insurance wouldn't pay for it. When she eventually let me talk, I explained that I had called my insurance earlier, and they confirmed that ER follow ups DO NOT REQUIRE A REFERRAL. The receptionist wasn't hearing any of this though, as she proceeded to tell me I was wrong, how it's on my insurance card (no, really?!), I HAVE to have a referral, etc. Way to leave a great impression on this medical office by having your receptionist argue with a prospective patient. I then asked if she wanted my insurance to call her and confirm, or what else she wanted to show proof that they WILL cover the services without requiring this referral. She still insisted I needed the referral. For crying out loud. -_- I give up. Long story short, I told this annoying receptionist to cancel my appointment, as I'll take my health elsewhere. If this is the kind of person this Dr chooses to represent him, I don't think it's a good indication of the office in general. Here's a suggestion: train your receptionist to be personable, listen to patients and not just immediately argue back, and maybe sound a little less monotone? Referral obsession aside, I've never heard such an unenthusiastic receptionist. Absolutely horrible customer service/receptionist! I went to Dr. Hallivis in October after getting a foot x-ray in the ER that proved no fractures after several days of pain. He seemed like a good doctor, but I wasn't getting better after several months, so I sought a second opinion, and she ordered an MRI first visit. Well, that MRI proved there was a cyst INSIDE one of my foot bones on the side where all the pain was. He never once suggested MRI, so he clearly ignored a way to help. Still not solved yet, but only got the news recently.
Known Dr Hallivis for years. He's the best!!! Thx Doc.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
