List of Sanda F Di Paolo's Reviews
Negative first experience. I will not be using her. I transferred over to Dr. Di Paolo at the recommendation of another doctor who trusted her. I needed review of a D and C for a medical condition. I left my original OB/GYN after 14 years after she allowed her non medical staff to make medical necessity judgments more than once. I was hopeful to meet Dr. Di Paolo. Unfortunately, after I showed up early with paperwork completed online and paid my copay, I waited over an hour past my appointment time before she entered the room. I actually had to go to the staff just outside at 50 minutes in to ask why I had not been seen. No one came in to keep me informed until after I asked. The nurse came in and told me that Dr. Di Paolo had an emergency and apologized. Over ten minutes later, the doctor entered as if nothing happened. I was angry and told her I had been waiting for over an hour at that point. The first thing out of her mouth was, "Oh, I'm sorry. Do you want to reschedule?" I was angry and told her why I was there. She responded to me in infantile tones as if she were a child. She then tried to pass me off to an OB/GYN oncologist to perform the procedure. After reviewing with her that I was told to only visit the oncologist if there was an indication of cancer from the procedure, I flat out asked her if she was not willing to do it. She responded that I seemed very angry at her in the same infantile tones. It was insulting considering we are the same age and presumably adults. It turned out that I didn't owe a copay. I had to inform them of this after checking with my insurance and prompt them to refund it. This was not only a complete waste of my time, after I respectfully followed their requests and directions, but the staff was incompetent, inconsiderate, and the doctor, from my experience, could not take any accountability for her behavior--especially her infantile tonality.
Excellent services at front desk and the Doctor is very knowledgeable!!
Dr DiPaolo is an outstanding physician.
I am shocked at the negative reviews. I’ve had such a positive experience both with Dr DiPaolo as well as with Jessica. Each time I had any concerns they both took the time to address and conduct further testing. I have been able to call and message with any question and have promptly received call backs or messages. I feel very supported with this practice and highly recommend them to anyone looking for prenatal care!
Super personable and very competent! She managed my high risk pregnancy well and I felt completely confident in her doing my c-section.
Go anywhere else. Dr Sanda DiPaolo almost killed me. I had an ectopic pregnancy which was misdiagnosed as a miscarriage. She didn’t have time and had her father give me a D&C. A week later I was in excruciating pain and raced to her office. She accused me of not being in a lot of pain and scheduled a surgery 5 days later to remove a cyst. If she had read the D&C report she would have realized that there was no fetal matter found in my D&C. That’s the thing she missed that almost killed me. Surgery day finally came, I begged her to push up my surgery because I was in so much pain. She told me that I could take my chances and go to the ER, but she recommended I not do that. Turned out I had an ectopic pregnancy and my tube burst. There was so much internal bleeding from 5 days of bleeding while waiting for surgery that it took a very very long time in surgery. I later reviewed her medical records for me and she falsified them and wrote that I told her that I had the miscarriage expulsion at home after the D&C. I never ever said that. Then she pushed me out of the hospital, it’s protocol to spend the night after an ectopic pregnancy and tube bursting. I assume she pushed me out so fewer people saw her major blunder. It took forever for me to recover. I was in so much pain. I’ve since had a C-section and it was less pain than her laparoscopic surgery. Trust anyone else, don’t go to her.
This is the Ob/gyn for my first baby. I have to say Dr. DiPaolo is way below my expectations given how highly rated she is on INOVA webpage. It was alway long wait on appointments with her. And she doesn’t give advice that suits the patient best but herself. She recommended induction for me 2 days before my due date just because she was on duty that day at INOVA hospital. I was very healthy during pregnancy, didn’t have any complications. I only started softening, cervix not opening at all by then. It took my 3 days in the delivery room, very very painful experience. The nurse in hospital said I could have waited till baby started it naturally. And my postpartum examination is even virtual, what more can I say. When it comes to COVID vaccine recommendation, Dr. DiPaolo replied a short sentence after EIGHT Days, saying that I have to make choice myself. ??? If I were to have all the professional knowledge and I could make decision best for me, why do people need doctors? My personal recommendations for moms to be: You WELL deserve a better Ob/Gyn.
The worst doctor I've ever seen in my life she delivered my baby I never worked. She was an on-call doctor and came in instead of the schedule doctor that day and she really messed me up very bad through The delivery and scarred me. I would never recommend her I feel she's heartless
When I came in for a previously diagnosed condition, she was over. 30 minutes late. She dismissed my concerns and provided rude commentary and feedback. I ended up having to see another provider who was much more kind and professional.
Absolutely no bedside manner. Rude, seemed inconvenienced she had to address my concerns. Didn’t provide any sense of comfort or empathy. Extreme/unnecessary diagnoses. Never would recommend to anyone in a million years.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
