List of Sanda F. Dipaolo's Reviews
Dr DiPaolo is an outstanding physician.
Go anywhere else. Dr Sanda DiPaolo almost killed me. I had an ectopic pregnancy which was misdiagnosed as a miscarriage. She didn’t have time and had her father give me a D&C. A week later I was in excruciating pain and raced to her office. She accused me of not being in a lot of pain and scheduled a surgery 5 days later to remove a cyst. If she had read the D&C report she would have realized that there was no fetal matter found in my D&C. That’s the thing she missed that almost killed me. Surgery day finally came, I begged her to push up my surgery because I was in so much pain. She told me that I could take my chances and go to the ER, but she recommended I not do that.Turned out I had an ectopic pregnancy and my tube burst. There was so much internal bleeding from 5 days of bleeding while waiting for surgery that it took a very very long time in surgery.I later reviewed her medical records for me and she falsified them and wrote that I told her that I had the miscarriage expulsion at home after the D&C. I never ever said that. Then she pushed me out of the hospital, it’s protocol to spend the night after an ectopic pregnancy and tube bursting. I assume she pushed me out so fewer people saw her major blunder. It took forever for me to recover. I was in so much pain. I’ve since had a C-section and it was less pain than her laparoscopic surgery.Trust anyone else, don’t go to her.
Super personable and very competent! She managed my high risk pregnancy well and I felt completely confident in her doing my c-section.
This is the Ob/gyn for my first baby. I have to say Dr. DiPaolo is way below my expectations given how highly rated she is on INOVA webpage. It was alway long wait on appointments with her. And she doesn’t give advice that suits the patient best but herself. She recommended induction for me 2 days before my due date just because she was on duty that day at INOVA hospital. I was very healthy during pregnancy, didn’t have any complications. I only started softening, cervix not opening at all by then. It took my 3 days in the delivery room, very very painful experience. The nurse in hospital said I could have waited till baby started it naturally. And my postpartum examination is even virtual, what more can I say. When it comes to COVID vaccine recommendation, Dr. DiPaolo replied a short sentence after EIGHT Days, saying that I have to make choice myself. ??? If I were to have all the professional knowledge and I could make decision best for me, why do people need doctors? My personal recommendations for moms to be: You WELL deserve a better Ob/Gyn.
I have seen Dr. Sanda dipaolo 2 weeks back. She is okay at explaining things and answering questions. But horrible at responding to questions online(used inova's patient portal) and staff arent prompt doing things. Had to call office couple of days straight to get doctors response on my blood work. Didnt get prescription sent to pharmacy even though doctor says prescription is sent. Had to call office again to send in prescription to pharmacy. After couple hours got my prescription, but that too at wrong pharmacy. Very very poor responsibility. Finally had to call cvs and get my prescription transferred to right location. Does a patient had to do all this nonsense ?? I certainly dont think so.
I am shocked at the negative reviews. I’ve had such a positive experience both with Dr DiPaolo as well as with Jessica. Each time I had any concerns they both took the time to address and conduct further testing. I have been able to call and message with any question and have promptly received call backs or messages. I feel very supported with this practice and highly recommend them to anyone looking for prenatal care!
Absolutely no bedside manner. Rude, seemed inconvenienced she had to address my concerns. Didn’t provide any sense of comfort or empathy. Extreme/unnecessary diagnoses. Never would recommend to anyone in a million years.
This doctor provided an MRI order when my doctor forgot to send one. Dr. Dipaolo told me that an MRI was "too expensive" for my diagnosis, adenomyosis. I had to communicate how debilitating my symptoms are to her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
