It was my first time seeing an endocrinologist. Dr Thukuntla was professional, knowledgeable, patient and helpful. She answered all my questions and gave exceptional advice. I am so glad to find a doctor who looks at your whole health history and what you have to say as a patient. She also appears to keep up with all the new changes in medicine and explains all the data!

I visited with Dr. Thukuntla via Tele-medicine on Oct. 21, 2020. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable .. took time to explain her ideas to me .. had an exceptional bedside manner ... very friendly inviting a good exchange of problems and solutions. She is 5 stars!!

I see Dr. Thukuntla for Thyroid issues. She is extremely caring and comprehensive. She asked me detailed questions and showed that she cared about my condition. What I liked was that she would listen and pay attention to all my responses rather than just rush through the visit. Her treatment plan was not just a prescription but also recommendations to lifestyle changes that needed to be made. I recommended her to my family members and my mom also sees her now. A great doctor.

This doctor, if I can call her that, is very rude, arrogant and does not pay attention to anything you tell her. You can tell her things only for her to not believe you. You'll pay a ton of money to see her, let alone have the insurance pay part of it, only to be sent out like an assembly line. Typical UTMB doctor I'm afraid to say.

Dr Thukuntla is the doctor I've been searching for for years! She gives lots of useful information, she listens, and most importantly she doesn't make you feel that your disease is your own fault or that you're not dealing with it properly-I'm so happy to have found her! Also all of the staff is very friendly!
