Stephen E Weinroth's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Weinroth has been treating me for a serious infection to my hand. My care under him was outstanding and the results were excellent. He was knowledgeable and caring as was entire office staff. He was on time for his appointments and never kept me waiting. He explained what he was doing and answered all of my questions. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an excellent doctor dealing with infectious disease issues.

The receptionist Amy has OCD and is condescending. she wants information in a certain order. She wants a diagnostic code before she'll even take your name or date of birth to schedule an appointment. She does not understand professionalism and is extremely disrespectful.

Treated me like a worthless human being. Was told he would not treat me because I am a disabled veteran with no insurance other than the VA. All he cares about is his wallet not the oath he took for the well-being of others. He should not be allowed to practice medicine.

I was told I was a medical mystery by no less then 8 other doctors, during and after my stay in the hospital. Dr. Weinroth was the only doctor who seemed to be able to come up with multiple therories, and then start acting on or eliminating them. I felt he was the only doctor I could trust to actually figure things out and care for me.

Dr. Weinroth is a caring and thorough doctor. He has a wonderful bedside manner. His staff reflects the same professionalism. We feel fortunate to have been referred to him.

I never got a diagnosis, every suggestion I brought was countered with dismissal. He gave me an antiviral just to get me to leave the office, but when it stopped working, he won't return calls. The office staff is rude beyond belief, and they don't even have call waiting. Run the other way.

Dr. Weinroth is a caring and professional Doctor. He explains everything in terms one can understand and takes the time to listen to you. He answers all questions and treats you as a real person. He is very thorough - meaning that he looks at your entire condition and will talk to the other Docs working on your case. He looks at the big picture, which often proves to provide a better outcome. I called his office - I was able talk to him - REALLY - without even asking !!!

Went in for Lyme disease symptoms. I waited over an hour from my appointment time (I was the only one in the waiting room) before I was seen by Dr Pollner, who wasn't even the doctor I had requested an appointment with (Weinroth). I told her I believe I received a false negative for lyme bloodtest (very common) and asked for additional testing. She essentially said no, wouldn't even do any additional lyme tests, then told me I need to see a neurologist and shouldn't have come haha. Never said sorry for making me wait over an hour, and while she listened to my symptoms she just made faces as if she...didn't believe me or something?felt condescending hah. So I wasted 2 hours and money to essentially not get helped with anything whatsoever. Went to a neurologist who said he was sorry the infectious disease specialist wouldn't test me, so he said he would do it haha. 10/10 would not come back lmao

In 2015 I had a full knee replacement that failed. The tendon tore away from the knee as i went to leave my house on Thanksgiving on my way to my daughter's. What's worse was the repair became infected. The experience with that infectious disease doctor was a nightmare which in retrospect cost me about 2 years of my life in additional operations. They never were able to diagnose the specific problem. My final operation (the 4th) returned my mobility but after time the knee got infected again. Needless to say I was really despondent. I refused to return to the previous doctor and after researching ID doctors found Dr. Weinroth. What a find! He quickly figured out what was wrong and laid it on the line. We talked for a considerable amount of time, he is very easy to talk with, and came up with a plan that he expected me to do my part and follow. I did and the results have been outstanding. While I will need to suppress the infection for the rest of my life with pills, it no longer affects my ability to do things like climb stairs. The pain is gone. One last point. I've found that a good indicator of a successful relationship with a doctor is the relationship with his or her staff. My previous ID doctor's staff was a disaster. I cringed at having to deal with them. Conversely Dr. Weinroth's staff has been a pleasure to work with. They are both professional and amiable which makes them very helpful during the trying time you are experiencing. I would recommend Dr. Weinroth and his office to anyone who is willing to do their part in managing their health issues. He is your partner in that journey.

Unfortunately I cant give a "0" star rating to this doctor. I visited him a few times after I got some serious sudden symptoms with my health after a vacation trip. Many of the symptoms seems to match a viral or bacterial infection. My internist could not figure out the cause and referred me to infectious disease specialist to rule out any viral or bacterial infection. I asked him to run several blood tests to eliminate any suspicions I have but he refused to do so and jumped to conclusions that I do not have any virus or bacterial infection. He had a jerky attitude and became aggressive after I told him I did some research on reliable medical sites to try to come up with a diagnosis. In summary, my visits to him were total waste of money and time. I will never see him again and I do not recommend him for anyone.
