It is very unfortunate that I feel I must post a very negative review for Inova cardiologists.My 85 year old mom has been a patient for over 20 years.The practice has been great and definitely saved my mom’s life.But now it is impossible to get an appointment with any of the cardiologists in this group.We had an annual appointment scheduled in June 2022 with her new cardiologist (Dr Slottow) because her originally cardiologist retired (Dr Bon Tempo).My mom started having problems so we requested an appointment with the doctor in March of 2022. Of course no appointments were available for 6 months so we had to meet with the pa.The pa made some recommendations and my mom continued to have problems. We had an annual appointment scheduled for June as mentioned above. When we called to say we were coming in for June the appointment it had been canceled. We did not cancel the appointment. They gave us another appointment for Dr Bussey and two days before They canceled 6 mths to reschedule.

Dr. Slottow fit me into her schedule for an unanticipated heart-related problem, prior to my upcoming heart surgery. (My own INOVA cardiologist was out-of-town). She is first and foremost, smart, as well as personable and a clear, concise communicator. She went out of her way to to get me the needed test via a swift and creative solution. She understands the value of team work. #impressed.and.appreciative

Dr. Slottow is thorough in her assessments as well as friendly and professional in delivering any messages relating to cardiac care. She communicates her points effectively. Very pleased that she has been and is my long term cardiologist.

She is a good and caring doctor but when booking an appointment the system is the worst of any (I have encountered by far - with misleading pre-recorded information and disconnected calls.

I became Dr. Slottow's patient after moving here from New Jersey where I had an excellent cardiologist. Dr. Slottow has been superb, an excellent diagnostician, wonderful manner, patient and considerate, and I look forward to continuing to be her patient for a very long time (God willing of course!).

Dr. Slottow performed a catheterization on my wife at Fairfax Inova hospital one week ago. She was a true professional in every respect. She thoroughly explained and discussed everything about the cath procedure, before and after, and her interpretation of the results. 6 stars!

Dr. Slattow is one of the best if not the best doctor's I have encountered. After being diagnosed with a heart condition, she took the time to explain exactly what was going on, what to expect... (this was after I left another group because I could never get anyone who seemed to care about me @ all). I cannot thank her enough for keeping me calm, being honest with my condition and always checking for any changes and/or needed changes to my medication. She's the Best!
