Dr. Atika performed a heart ablation and implanted a pacemaker this year. Both procedures were completed without issues. I have total confidence in Dr. Atika and the practice. I highly recommend him, he listens carefully, is compassionate and his follow-up is great. Dave

Six years ago Dr Atiga determined the "heart" needs of my then 76 year old wife. Lots of heart problems not recognized or solved by usual Cardiologists. He repaired her busy life with a pacemaker--which has performed perfectly in all these many years. MY grandson , now 25 received a pacemaker from Dr Atiga because of low heart function. Falling a sleep at work at his hospital kitchen job..missing work because he could not get up in the mornings..monitoring grandsons heart over time, and finding night time heart beats between 20-30 ,Dr Artiga moved quickly to add a pacemaker to his life---which has miraculously returned him to a healthy, normal life. DR Atega is wonderful! He is patient, kind, and caring---and of course expert as an electro physician. Dr Atega has followed and cared for both my grandson and my wife since the first day we met him. He knows and helps well beyond that which usual Cardiologists'are not able. Cannot believe a "better" electro / tech exists anywhere.

Great doc but very difficult to get an appointment with him, sometimes it is over 6 weeks to his "first available" slot. I had Afib and was cardioverted but it came back so Dr. Atiga recommended an Ablation. That has resulted in a heart rate in the low 50's so now he is talking a pacemaker. Think it may be time for a second opinion but an excellent Doc none the less.

I was there with my father. Dr Attiga got mad at me because I asked questions about the echocardiogram to try to understand better why my father needed the procedure and specifics on the how the new defibrillator worked.. He thought the hospital doctor had told us what was going on which of course he hadn't. Finally when I asked if there was something I could read he stomped out and got me the booklet the PA probably should have given us two weeks before.

This man literally saved my life. I'm not kidding; I would be dead without him. No other heart doctor took me seriously, because I was a previous athlete who had to stop playing because of Lyme disease. He put a pacemaker in me and he saved my life. My heart was stopping and I was blacking out before. This man is incredible. Sure, he may be called into surgery and have to reschedule, but he's best doc in the world! I'd rather have the best doc ever than anything else.

Unique among cardiologists in NoVa in that he attempts to treat cardiological disease with supplements - IF FEASIBLE. With me, such Pre-ablation treatment was not effective and we went the standard pharma route with me suffering the pronounced side effects of the drugs. Post- ablation was a different story. After mutual discussion, he put me on an OTC supplement regimen. It is now 4 years since my procedure. I'm still on the OTC "meds" and leading a normal life with NO side effects; thanks Dr. Atiga! P.S. regular cardio-pulmonary exercise is also part of my routine; definitely helps. .
