Unfriendly & rude doctor

I have been seeing Dr. Chang for my eye care for about 3 years now. I would say he’s one of the best doctors I’ve ever been to. He spends a great amount of time going over the exam and explaining everything thoroughly. He’s also very patient with the many questions I asked. I definitely recommend him to enyone who wants excellant eye care. Also, the front desk staff is very nice and professional.

Very disappointed with Dr. Chang. I've been struggling with extremely painful dry-eye problems for about a decade. I've tried all the otc eye drops and even had surgery last year, to no avail. I decided to start fresh with a new Opthomologist and was hoping that Dr. Chang would prescribe me some prescription eye drops but instead he was only willing to recommend more otc eye drops first and follow up appointments. Dr. Chang is obviously more interested in promoting products and milking his patients for follow up visit fees than actually providing medical treatment - don't waste your time!

Dr. Chang performed cataract surgery for me. I was very pleased with the results. Dr. Chang was very thorough, careful and thoughtful throughout the process. Also, his employees were always helpful and courteous.

As a new patient in this office, I have heeded the front office lady's advice and arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment with all my paperwork ready and insurance cards. Getting registered as a new patient was smooth and quick. What followed, not so much! After a one-hour wait without an end in sight, I just had to leave. My question for Dr. Chang is this: if I would be late by one hour for my appointment, without any courtesy call to confirm with your staff that it's okay to still come, would you see me the moment I walked into your office? I suppose not! If you and your staff are expecting some respect from your patients, please show them a little as well.

Very unfriendly doctor. Long waiting time and looks like only care a about money and insurance card . I will not go to him again..

Dr. Chang lacks professionalism. He lacks patience. He was very rude and would cut off in the middle of questions. Terrible bedside manner. He has zero respect for his patient. Not sure if he is jaded or just straight up arrogant. He was very stand-offish during the entire visit. I was completely misled by the comments here. Completely unpleasant experience.

Took me about a month to get an appointment here for my mom and I wish we didn't wait that long to see this doctor. Horrible experience and disappointing demeanor. I was very taken aback by how the doctor lost his cool so easily and how arrogant, standoffish, and impatient he was throughout the entire appointment. He was visibly annoyed whenever I tried to explain and clarify something that was mis-conveyed throughout the conversation. Saying “I’ve said this like 50 times” annoyed to a patient to emphasize(?) your point is a very immature behavior and not a good way to communicate with your patient, nor is it professional. Whether intended or not, I hope the doctor learns to carry himself better in a better manner in front of his patients. Had a decent experience with the rest of the office staff but we decided to cancel the follow-up. Cannot trust or recommend this doctor.

My father was technically blind on his right eye and couldn't even see one finger doctor Chang placed in front of his eye due to heavy dense cataract. My father had his cataract procedure on 9/8/2021 and had a follow up visit this morning at 10AM. I was amazed he can now read even the small letters during his vision test. Father and I am very amazed of Dr. Chang's skills and professionalism and highly highly recommend him including his friendly beautiful office staff for any eye issues. Nice office but they overcharge you for the procedures...
