Great sense of humor while explaining all I needed to know about my illness.

Called to set up an appointment. The receptionist was very rude. Also this office is wanting to bill for an office visit, then schedule for images and return for a second office visit. Since Dr. Hartzell is already our physician, why not order the scans from radiology and then come in to review and make observations and suggestions. Gas is too high to travel for nonsense so they can bill my insurance and a deductible from me. The last visit with Dr Hartzell I was not impressed. He was not a caring nice doctor.

He’s always there when you need him and he’s thorough.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hartzell’s since this past spring and I continue to be impressed with what a wonderful physician he is. I feel lucky to have found him! I did not know I had asthma and Dr. Hartzell has been so knowledgeable and caring about getting my newly diagnosed asthma under control and always making sure I understand. He literally cares about his patients. You are not a number with him. You are far more than a copay. Not only does he truly care and have such an excellent bed side manner, he runs his own office entirely himself which i find extraordinary! I love that when I call, he is who answers. When you arrive, he is who greets you and handles your appointment. And when you check out, you deal with him. He literally handles his patients 1000% himself, start to finish. That is something you won’t get elsewhere and it’s beyond wonderful! Not only do I always feel safe, really cared for and heard but he gives his patients his undivided attention. I could go on and on with how wonderful he is!! There is no better pulmonologist out there! Dr. Hartzell is THE BEST EVER!! I tell everyone I know about how wonderful he is! You cannot go wrong with Dr. Hartzell! Thank you Dr. Hartzell for doing what you do!!! I appreciate and am thankful for you!!!

What a great doctor! He explained everything from how the body worked to why I could be experiencing those symptoms and what could be done. He even gave me a sample for trial towards my treatment. He was always making sure if I had any questions to make sure I understood everything. Doc, if you see this thanks so much! Will be seeing you again.

Exceptional! A doctor who truly cares for his patients. Would highly recommend him. I always felt that he was listening. His knowledge and expertise helped me recover fully. Thanks a million.

Dr. Hartzell is an attentive listener and makes every attempt to make certain you are rendered an overview of your condition, the cause and subsequent treatment plan. If you have any concerns he does all he can to put you at ease by assuring all is not doom and gloom and you always feel assured when you leave his office. As I said he listen to you but he also asks many questions about the treatment he's prescribed and how it is affecting your daily life. After a visit you leave his office feeling upbeat and confident he will find the antidote to eradicate your health problem.

We thought him incompetent. Decisions were questionable. No staff. Office dimly lit and shared on certain days with an Ophthalmologist . Never saw another patient in the office in a year of visits.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hartzell for years and can not say enough good things about him. He is truly one of the best physicians I have ever had. Rarely do you find a doctor who spends the entire time of your visit with you. No, this is not a big facility with a crowded waiting room and nurse practitioners who spend 90% of your visit with you. This is a doctor that devotes 100% of his time with you and cares about your condition. Wish there were more physicians out there like Dr. Hartzell.

Not a good experience. I've never written a review in my life. Dr. Hartzell has a terrible bed side manner and his staff is incredibly RUDE. I called to get the records and the staff member was short and his tone was dismissive. When I questioned the way he was speaking to me, he said I was wasting his time and "we're done here." Then he hung up the phone. I don't like when people write a review about the office staff and it reflect the doctor, yet; the reason I want our records is because we are switching doctors! The reason for the switch is due to the overall feel of the practice. It's a negative environment. And, when you go to a lung doctor, you don't expect to see plastic surgery items in the reception area? Whaaa? Again, my first review. I would avoid this practice all together.
