Amy R. Jeffery's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Jeffery has been phenomenal for my daughter, who has had vision needs since 2 years old. She is professional, clear, wise ans friendly. We have only ever visited her in the Falls Church office and have never had any scheduling or long wait issues.

Due to seasonal allergies, my daughter’s eyes turned very red. One eye is in pain and the other had a lot of tears. When I called the appointment line, the appointment lady classified this case as non-emergency and asked if we went to see her optometrist because she used to wear CRT lens. I said “hold on a second, I need to understand why this was not an emergency. She has stopped wearing CRT and this had noting to do with the CRT lens.” This lady said “you can’t tell me to hold on”. She kept saying this was not emergency based on her judgment and she could not give me an appointment before 8 am. I tried to explain but was rudely stopped. She threatened if I wanted an appointment for today or not. Finally she gave me an appointment at 11. I tried again to explain what happened to my daughter’s eyes but she simply hang up without even telling me which location the doctor was.

We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. Friendly staff, clean office. Would return and recommend. Thanks

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Jeffery for 8 years and I have always found her and her staff to be courteous and professional. She has educated me over the years on the treatment plan, options, and considerations, which I greatly appreciated as someone who has never had glasses myself. She has a very nice rapport with the kids and has adapted it as my daughter has grown from a 3-year-old to an 11-year-old pre-teen. Her assistant is also spectacular with the kids. It's always difficult to get an appointment because she is in such demand, but I find it well worth a wait.

Our 10 year old son with amblyopia has been a patient for approx 5 years. In that time we've had several calls from the office requiring (not requesting) a last minute appointment cancellation and reschedule. As parents know- we set these appointments months in advance and adjust schedules accordingly. More frustrating- these reschedules often happen to late summer appointments with a required rescheduling to September (once school is back in.) No thanks. We're moving on.

She is a great doctor!

I have been taking my children to Dr. Jeffery for several years. She is professional, clearly explains things, & is great with my kids. The staff is friendly, warm and helpful. The play area with a movie running is an added bonus as I sometimes have all my kids with me and it keeps them busy & happy during waits. Overall, my experience with Dr. Jeffery & staff has been nothing but wonderful so far.

The fair oaks office is a hot mess. They did not call or email to confirm appointments that were scheduled for 6 WEEKS OUT, TWICE, they do not inform you about needing referrals until you are at your appointment, and then they refuse to see you without a referral for a FOLLOW UP..who does that? i would & will NEVER go back.

Dr. Jeffrey is an excellent ophthalmologist who is able to speak to patients and families with respect, she explains her findings and decisions clearly to both the patient and the family, we have great respect for her, and will continue to see her as long as our child's condition requires it. While a previous review commented on the office staff, we have not had this experience, and it is not reflective of Dr. Jeffrey's excellent judgment, professionalism, and care.

The office staff is USELESS, They scheduled a follow up for 6 weeks out, did not provide an appointment card, and FAILED to confirm the appointment. A second follow up was scheduled for another 6 weeks out, and AGAIN, no appointment card provided and no confirmation call/email, at the second follow up, they refused to see out son without a referral (for a follow up!! follow ups do not require a referral) I WILL NEVER GO BACK, this office is a hot mess! RUN AWAY!
