incredible doctor and great visit!

I am going to save your vision - please go to another doctor for cataract surgery! Everything went downhill from the minute I went into the procedure room. The IV was not in place correctly, therefore, no meds. I kept telling him "I am feeling this .... I am awak.....this hurts"! He kept doing what he was doing and said in a rather harsh voice "Give her some more!" They could have injects tons of it, but since the IV was on TOP of the skin, nothing was going in. Before surgery, his bedside manner was caring - after I "complained", it was not the same. In the 4 year since my surgery, I am still a patient at an eye specialist at Duke and had to get many eye injections (not fun). His office staff protects him to the 'inth' degree. I asked for a copy of the surgical notes - after months, I received them - NO MENTION OF ANY PROBLEMS during the surgery. Makes me wonder if they lie about surgical records, what other lies do they tell.
