Doctor Sherwood is a Awesome doctor. He takes time to go over everything, he do not rush and give all the information you need. Doctor Sherwood also did my surgery and I am on my way to a better and healthy life. All five stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Doctor Sherwood ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Doctor Sherwood performed surgery on my lung. I felt very good and fully confident going into surgery. He made sure I knew exactly what was going to be happening to me at every step of the process. The level of care I received from him and his team was next to none. I truly felt like I had the best of the best.

Dr. Sherwood provided me exceptional medical service when he performed surgery on me recently. He demonstrated compassion and professionalism at all times. His excellent surgical skills enabled me to have a better quality of life for which I am grateful. I highly recommend Dr. Sherwood and his team if you are in need of medical assistance.

Dr. Sherwood is medically proficient, knows the background for each of his patients and he has a great bedside manner! He makes all his patients feel like they are his only patient. I trust he and his staff wholeheartedly.

On September 11, 2015, Doctor Sherwood performed a rib resection on me at Mary Washington Hospital. The surgery was scheduled for 1 1/2 hours, but I was in the operating room for 5 1/2 hours. Doctor Sherwood punctured my lung sometime during the operation. I woke up in the recovery room with him pounding a chest tube into my chest. I later learned he cut through two ribs leaving a 1 inch space between my two ribs, which he left floating freely in my body. He also left a sharp jagged rib edge on the ends of my rib bones. I've been in grave pain ever since and have a very low quality of life since this operation. He told me he thought I had bone cancer. But he never asked me if I had any trauma to my right side ribs. Had he asked, I would have told him I had a terrible fall into a piece of furniture in my home onto my right side ribs I believe was healing right before the surgery. I do not recommend Doctor Sherwood and recommend second opinions anytime anyone wants to perform surgery. The picture below is the rib resection Doctor Sherwood performed on me. It's horrifying and hurts worse than it looks.

I thank God the day my primary physician sent me to Dr. Sherwood. After tests, biopsies and two surgeries I was told my lung cancer is now gone. I feel lucky to have Dr Sherwood by my side to try and keep me cancer free in the furture. Wonderful Doctor and great staff and nurses. Thank you.

I first met Dr. Sherwood in the fall of 2019 when referred by my primary care physician for treatment of a mass in my left lung. At our first meeting I was immediately impressed by Dr. Sherwood’s professional demeanor and his genuine caring for his patients. Throughout the process, from the first visit, the surgery, and recovery he took the time to patiently explain each step, it’s purpose, and expected results as well as any possible alternatives. My referring Doctor spoke very highly of Dr. Sherwood’s surgical skills and this was proven by the complete elimination of my Cancer and the short recovery time. The practice’s office and professional staff including; Reception, Nursing, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Administration all reflect Dr. Sherwood’s dedication to providing the best care possible. I would not hesitate to recommend his practice to anyone who needs his specialty.

This is my 6th year of surviving Stage 3a lung cancer. I attribute my survival to Dr Sherwood and his team. I have always understood completely everything happening to me during my surgery chemotherapy treatment and now at my annual follow up visits to Dr Sherwood’s office. He said he will see me annually for the rest of my life. There is something very reassuring comforting in the care and compassion I have received. Coming from the worst time of my life to a six year survivor of lung cancer Dr Sherwood has always been a constant in my life.
