I would give the egotictical maniac doctor I saw in the ER a negative review if I could. Dr. Robert Fines, Jr. He is absolutely THE WORST! He cares about turning beds over, not your health. I know this from very recent experience! He will yell at you if you challange him on ANYTHING! He denies you the right to participate in your own healthcare, which is a violation of your patient & constitutional rights. If you ask for a test to be performed based on symptoms & he disagrees but you insist, he'll scream that you are "manipulative"! If you express fear over a test result & feel you should be admitted for observation, he'll deny it and yell again! He doesn't respect the Hippocratic Oath which he agreed to uphold when he became an MD but don't you dare mention that or remind him to "do no harm" or his head will spin. He's scary! He shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine anywhere on planet Earth! He's an incompassionate, inhumane, angry human being. He is garbage, works for garbage and will treat you like garbag. I sent an online question to the Fredericksburg Emergency Medical Alliance to whom MWHC contracts out their ER "services". They did not respond to it, but I know they received it beause the Director of Security (an employee of MWHC) mentioned it to me in a TEXT. So, does anyone really think there is anyone at MWHC advocating for you, the patent? No way! The patient advocate herself hung up on me and told the same peson I was racist. I know this because he told me. Again, biased much?

Egotictical maniac! He'll yell at u if u challange him on ANYTHING! Denies u the right to participate in ur healthcare, a violation of ur patient & constitutional rights. If u ask for a test t/b performed based on symptoms & he disagrees & u insist, he'll scream u r "manipulative"! Needs to return to medical school, and sit closer to the front of the classroom so he can hear how a person becomes a doctor not a school nurse. He doesnt listen to patients very much asked same questions twice atleast and didnt treat main issue only half my issue which was the less life threatening than the other obviously because im leaving this review. This review is not meant for people in pain, just for general everyday issues that get severe enough you need an emergency room visit. Sure hope someone sees this before he makes a huge mistake that cant be corrected by a real professional M.D.

He was the ER trauma dr in the ER when I was brought in for a stroke. I had a CT/cta done and waited for the results. He came in told me the CT was clean, but there was something on the CTA. a told me that I had something wrong with my brain, and then left the hospital!!! I didn't know he had left till someone came in, and when I asked I was told he was gone for the day and the new dr did not know I was there.

Horrible er doctor no compassion no empathy, very unprofessional

I had a horrible experience with this dr in the emergency room he was rude and unprofessional. I was in excruciating pain and he roughly examined and when I screamed out in pain he just stared at me with a blank look no compassion. I don’t see how he is a dr let alone an er doctor I can’t wait until I feel better and can report him to the proper people, not just online rating.

Just going through some of Carolyn's old things....(THIS WAS IN THE DAYS BEFORE THERE WAS A vitals.com). She visited this hospital in December of 2004 with a goal of being admitted to battle her cancer of the omentum. Somehow she got shuttled to the Emer. Dept. and things "went downhill from there," in the words of a physician on her medical records. Dr. Robert Fines saw her and her complaint of abdominal pain was consistent with her few weeks old diagnosis of cancer of the omentum (caked 3 layers deep). Nonetheless, on the heels of her having had contrast recently, and in spite of the fact that her BUN & Creatinine levels were contraindicative to contrast, Dr. Fines gave Carolyn contrast to see if her colon had been perforated during an earlier colonoscopy. No perforation found, but the contrast Fines administered, with the earlier contrast still in her kidneys, led to COMPLETE RENAL FAILURE, "secondary to contrast" per her medical records written by her nephrologist, Thomas Officer, M.D. A 2nd dialysis failed due to a blocked dialysis port. Anesthesia for surgery to unblock or replace the port would have been fatal, so Carolyn was left to die at the age of 66, just 7 months after her retirement. This was not simply a case of just poor judgment or a rude doctor who would not listen or a misdiagnosis, it was a case of a catastrophic medical error that cost a woman her life. I was told that the issue was discussed in hospital and the results were kept under lock and key. So I've no idea what happened, but Dr. Fines still practices medicine.
