Before I had my total knee replacement, I saw three different knee surgeons. I decided to have this procedure, in addition to a bowed leg straighten by Dr. Sutphen as he eased my fears concerning the surgery, explaining in detail all that would be taking place. Goes out of his way to build your own confidence before and after the procedure

Dr Sutphen is a skilled and positive surgeon. He answered all my questions before I made the knee replacement decision (I had a lot written down)!! He is patient and explains things very clearly. He has a warm and caring personality and was generous with his time to make sure I understood the condition of my knee and the replacement process. He was amazing with follow-up after surgery. He visited me twice in the hospital within 24 hour stay and called me twice at home after discharged. His staff was conscientious (Danielle) in scheduling surgery, medications, physical therapy and follow-up appointments. And most importantly, I am walking pain free !!!

I had a total hip replacement. Pre-op appointments, care by his staff in the hospital, and post-op appointments all went very well, including a relatively urgent call I made to his office about 10 days post-op. The members of Dr. Sutphen’s staff appear to work very well together and competently address the needs of the patient. It’s not a touchy-feely experience, but, more importantly, I felt that everyone involved knew my case and did a good job of making sure that I had a good outcome. Dr. Sutphen himself is very personable and pleasant. He also does a fabulous job with follow up. I was very surprised that he came to my hospital room twice during the 24 hours I was in there and he called me at home twice within a week after I was discharged.

Dr. Sean Sutphen is the epitome of the BEST of the BEST! Dr. Sutphen was the ultimate in patient education and I felt fully knowledgeable of each step of my care. His skill is unsurpassed. I had previous TKR eight years ago by a now retired ortho surgeon. My wife had Dr. Sutphen perform total knee replacement one year ago and I witnessed how great her recovery was. What a difference in my immediate post-op phase, healing, recovery, and rehab. Dr. Sutphen was extremely supportive and encouraging. His staff including Stephanie PA are skilled, thoughtful, and caring. Danielle, his certified medical assistant in the office is amazing. She always confirmed that I had everything I might need to be comfortable. Physical Therapy was set up from start to finish. There was very little for me as the patient to arrange. Before my knee replacement surgery, Dr. Sutphen took care of explaining everything about the procedure in great detail and he made sure I understood everything involved. He took the time to answer any question I had and I never felt rushed. Besides being a highly skilled surgeon, he is kind, caring and positive. I feel I’ve been in the best of hands - both during surgery and now in the follow-up phase. I was quite impressed that Dr. Sutphen personally called me before my surgery and then afterward to check on how I was doing. I am beyond pleased with the outcome of my robotic assisted knee replacement surgery with Dr. Sutphen.

Dr. Sutphen is absolutely fantastic. He is personable and really seems to care about the well-being of his patients. I've never had a physician treat me so personally. He is simply cut from a different cloth and is a model for how physicians should interact with their patients. He listens to issues and does a great job of explaining medical issues in layman's terms. He explains the diagnosis and clearly explains treatment alternatives with pragmatic recommendations. Oh, and I'm walking pain-free for the first time in 9 months! Highly recommended.

Can't say enough about dr Sutphen. Doctor from god,golden hands,huge personality! I am alive and can walk again! 10 stars ! Nurses and crue is wonderful,caring and professional. Thank you,guys for doing amazing job!

Dr Sutphen replaced both of my hips with the most recent procedure done at the end of February. He is THE KINDEST most caring doctor who has forever positively improved the quality of my life. I can FINALLY walk through an airport without having to rest from pain. I am able to function after so much agony. His bedside manner is the best out of all the doctors I have ever seen through out my life. He called me the night before surgery to reassure me that he would take very good care of me and to get a good night sleep. He called me the night after surgery and again the following day. He cares about his patients as though they are family. I could go on and on. I will never be able to adequately thank him for the impact he has made on my life.

Not only is Dr. Sutphen a skilled surgeon but he is a caring doctor. He is kind, genuine, and caring and takes interest in how your recovery is going. He made frequent phone calls after the surgery and in the follow up visit he remembered our conversation from the day of surgery! Just an outstanding individual and an excellent surgeon.

Dr. Sutphen took great care of me when I tore my meniscus, from diagnosis to conservative treatment, to eventual surgery. He is a skilled and caring doctor. I have already recommended him to family and friends.
