Very Rude when I called after hours. Not helpful at all. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone!!!!!!

I’ve seen Dr. Young multiple times now, virtually and in person, and have been pleased with the visits. The most recent visit I had for a physical, he asked right away about an emergency appendectomy I had to have - that we hadn’t communicated about - and ensued everything was good since the surgery. He takes time and listens, and I feel is attentive. Would recommend.

We're very happy with Dr Young. He's a general practitioner who also specializes in NaPro Technologies, which monitors hormone levels associated with women's natural reproductive health. After numerous early miscarriages, my wife has finally found a doctor that has helped. He responded very quickly with this last pregnancy with hormone testing and progesterone prescription (something even OBGYNs have failed to do), and thankfully everything is going well this time. His communication regarding test results and appointments have been wonderful. Furthermore, it's easy to get an appointment with this practice. No hassle at all! We bring our whole family to Dr. Young.

Very disappointed. Went in to see Dr Young for an issue, that was resolved, but then I asked for blood work for an upcoming planned Physical as I like to have the blood work results for discussion at the actual physical. Additionally, I specifically asked for PSA and the Testosterone levels checked to include the pituitary gland output tested, Luteinizing Hormone (LH)...... The test for luteinizing hormone (LH), a hormone associated with reproduction and the stimulation of the release of an egg from the ovary (ovulation) in women and testosterone production in men, measures the level of LH in your blood or urine.......and I explained that if this test was in the normal range, then the output of Testosterone, be it low, is all the body requires. Dr Young left the room to order the blood test, leaving the impression that all was settled. Went to get blood drawn and I asked what tests we were doing. The Pituitary test (LH) was left off. I asked and the nurse went to check. Without discussing with me or providing any explanation, the response was... these are the only tests the doctor wanted. It appeared that Dr Young was not interested in our discussion and had no ambition to verify our discussion or research what exact pituitary test is necessary to determine a true and accurate reading of the testosterone levels. If I hadn't asked what test were to be completed, I would have not known till the test were completed....then I wouldn't have what was necessary. Why Dr Young didn't have the courage to discuss the issue face to face and to make a decision without consulting with the patient is beyond me and more than unacceptable. I am very involved in my health and for a doctor to ignore my desires and to blow off my concerns is ridiculous. NO ONE should allow this to happen. I will not see Dr Young again.

Very pompous. Originally had an appt in Manassas, saw that Gainesville takes walk-ins so I went there. Dr Young would only address one issue (my chest discomfort), told me I made it sound like I was having a heart attack (which I did NOT, I described as discomfort/tightness). He refused to refill my scripts or address any other concerns, told me he is very busy w/ other patients and I've interrupted his day, and to sched another appt. Had to pay $30 for this useless appt, then another $30.

Very friendly

My nurse practitioner is out of town and Dr Young refused to refill one of my medications. It's not one that you should just stop but that's what he has done to me. It's dangerous and warrants someone looking into his decisions on medications. Any knowledgeable dr should know you don't just stop a patient cold turkey on most medications

I honestly felt like Dr. Young and my visit wasn't personal at all. This is my first visit with him and I wanted to find a dr I could trust. He didn't look at me the whole time we spoke (looking at the wall and the floor) and prescribed me an anti-depressant the first time I saw him (before my blood work was completed). I was a little confused so I called a few of my family members who are also doctors and they did not agree with this at all. Dr. Young is young and is most likely inexperienced.
