List of Mukesh D Bhakta's Reviews
Fantastic experience with Dr. Bhakta, his front office staff and his assistant, Brooke. They were timely, pleasant, professional and solved my son's issue quickly. FYI, we didn't know Accutane side effects could lead to ingrown toenail issues and infection (besides my son cutting his nails too short).
Through, knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, professional and terrific person!
First, this office has the BEST music. I’d visit just to listen. Secondly, he’s helped my son with his ingrown toenails and has just been awesome! Super timely, professional and downright cool.
I've been going to Dr. Bhakta for a couple times now and I have to say he is awesome! He is super professional and caring, and has great bedside manner and is super funny. He talks you through all the procedures, which is great because no one likes needles in there toes. His office staff is great and very knowledgeable, helps with all steps of procedures and post op directions. I would recommended Dr. Bhakta to anyone and everyone!
Everything from the front office to the doctor was a great experience. The doctor was very nice and knowledgeable. Would recommend to my family and friends.
I developed pain in my foot during lockdown- I've never had this pain before so I decided to head straight to a Podiatrist to get this solved ASAP. I had never seen a Podiatrist before, so I looked online and decided to choose this office because it seemed to have good reviews. My first visit was pleasant- x-rays were taken and Dr. Bhakta said he could not see a problem with my bones, so it was plantar fasciitis and thus he recommended an orthidic insole for my shoes, and orthidic sandals (he sells them for $20 more than Amazon btw) and sent me on my way. No instructions for stretches or any additional advice on how to help heal this. I was told I did not need a follow up appointment, but if things did not get better after a few weeks, to call and make another appointment. After less than a week of wearing these orthotics, the pain got WORSE. I was now having pain in an new area of my foot as well as worsened pain in the original area and swelling. I tried to continue wearing the sandals in shorter increments thinking that would help, but I could tell something was wrong. I stopped wearing the orthotics. I made another appointment to come back and told him what was going on-that my pain is worse, and now I have a hard lump on the side of my foot where the pain started that wasn't there before. Dr. Bhakta said that was impossible- I shouldn't be having more pain, and he doesn't feel this hard lump in my foot, what I’m feeling was just the anatomy of my bones, etc. Dr. Bhakta said "I must have very sensitive feet" if the sandals were hurting me- he said he would refund my moneys back for the purchase, and that I should just take 600mg of Ibprophen for 1 week. Unlike the first visit in which he was very pleasant and took his time, this visit he seemed annoyed that I was there and quickly rushed me through the appointment and out of the office. After this visit I realized that Dr. Bhakta did not want to take the time to help me nor did he want to be proactive about trying to find what was happening with additional x-rays, Ultrasound, MRI, Physical Therapy- nothing. Just take Ibprophen and leave him alone. I left the office feeling like he did not care and did not want me to continue to see him, so I continued my search for help. I headed to my GP and explained everything- this doctor definitely feels the hard lump in my foot and apologized for how I was treated by Dr. Bhakta. I was referred to an Orthopedist who took another x-ray and diagnosed me with a stress fracture, Tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis. I was immediately put in a boot and told to stay off my feet as much as possible- I have to wear this boot for 3 weeks, take Ibprophen 3x/day for 3 weeks, and then come back to start Physical Therapy. This doctor was also very surprised that Dr. Bakta did little to nothing to help me and dismissed an obvious problem so quickly. I’m already feeling better after this treatment began. I wish I didn’t have to live with the pain I was having for so long and I should have sought a second option much quicker. So pros and cons with Dr. Bhakta's office: Pro: Availability of appointments, they take many insurances, and the location is convenient. Cons: If you have a difficult case that stumps Dr. Bhakta, he will usher you out of the office asap and hope you will not bother him again, or at least that's the impression I left with.
I had a painful ingrown toenail for about 3 weeks that I was trying to treat at home, even going to patient first to get antibiotics & nothing was helping. It would get better & then get worse again. I decided it was time to make an appointment with a specialist and Dr. Bhakta came highly recommended. Jennifer was wonderful, she helped me book my appointment over the phone and was kind enough to email me all the new patient forms so that I was able to arrive to my appointment with everything already filled out. I waited less than 5 minutes after checking in before being taken back to the treatment room. Everyone there was so friendly and explained everything to me. Dr. Bhakta had a great bedside manner, very to the point but I appreciated that. He told me what my options were & the actual procedure felt like it took barely any time. I was really anxious but everyone there made me feel really comfortable. The process was really easy and in under an hour from the time I checked in, I was out the door with my toe feeling 10x better than it had in weeks. It’s been 4 days since he removed the ingrown part of my toenail & it is healing wonderfully and I’ve experienced very minimal discomfort. 10/10 would recommend.
Had an initial visit with Dr. Bhakta and reviewed the explanation of my visit in the patient portal once the visit was complete. I noticed that the information listed was both inaccurate and the information that he verbally noted was not noted in my records. I reached out to him to ask that he accurately annotate the details of my visit to ensure accuracy of my medical records and his response was that he signed off on the records and that he would be making no further changes. I then went to view the records again, and saw that he did indeed update my records to show some of the things we discussed, but still didn't update it completely. Since when was it out of the ordinary to want consistent and accurate medical files? Especially seeing as tho this is what you are getting paid to do. It's not like I'm asking for a favor. His attitude and carelessness with my medical files was pathetic to say the least and this won't be the last he's heard from me. Update: Thank you for your rude and again, inaccurate response. To say that I failed to see something in my medical record is laughable. You updated my medical record AFTER I contacted you pointing out that you failed to list what was discussed. Now you have your office manager calling me everyday asking me to remove my review, when you STILL failed to PROPERLY update my records. I have no problem comprehending anything and it's a good thing you're a foot doctor and not a brain surgeon. Clearly you have a problem comprehending the basic functions of your job and executing a simple correction of your own error. It's obvious that your pride won't allow you to own up to your mistake and fix it. Instead you come up here and insult a patient that has spoken nothing but truth. And to say you used the wrong diagnosis for billing purposes and to "get around your billing system" is pathetic. This could have been resolved simply, but instead you've come up here insulting my ability to comprehend something. I will be contacting my insurance company as well to ensure you have properly billed me since clearly I have to keep an eye on the integrity of your practice.
The whole staff as well as Dr. Bhakta are wonderful. They are always pleasant, helpful, and have great suggestions. Dr. Bhakta has given me advice that has taken away pain and given me a renewed zest for exercise again.
Dr. Bhakta is absolutely wonderful. My entire family has been going to him for years. He goes above and beyond to help his patients out, no matter the time of day. Our young son had an infected ingrown toenail on a Friday afternoon and I called the office at 4:30 & they got him in the office by 5 to be seen. You won't find very many doctors who will do this for their patients. He truly cares about his patients health and wellness. He always has a smile on his face and is so kind and caring. His entire staff has the same demeanor, they are always smiling, kind and very friendly.
