Rolla Jaber's Online Review Report Card

My daughter and I saw Dr. J today. My opinion is that her bedside manner and empathy toward a sick patient and family is woefully wanting. At one point Dr. J unexpectedly said something about being political and her response to my concerns about my daughter's health seemed in my opinion to be overly heated and somewhat disconnected from the entirety of the medical situation. My opinion from this was that Dr. J is not the best choice.

I saw Dr. Jaber about an issue on my upper lip. It felt like having tape on it. Right away she said it was pre-skin cancer and prescribed a cream that is supposed to 'destroy' your 'bad' skin cells. After I applied the cream a couple of nights, the skin on my upper lip looked as if I had suffered first degree burns. I had to apply the cream for 14 days! She stated my bloody lip was 'normal' and part of the process . As the skin on m lip started healing, I couldn't smile or move my lip a lot because the skin would tear and bleed. Long story short, after the skin healed, the issue returned. I went back to her and asked if it could possibly be something else. She seemed annoyed at my question and reacted as if I was confronting her and disputing her knowledge. By the time I made a third appointment, she no longer worked at the clinic and I had another dermatologist check out my lip. I asked the new person if the issue could be something else, such as eczema. So she decided it was a possibility and gave me an ointment that cost around $5 and within 2 days the issue was gone.

We went in for a consult for my daughter's acne yesterday. Dr. Jaber was very professional as well as personable and warm. My daughter liked her because she was reassuring that her type of acne is not deep, and very unlikely to leave scars. We did not have insurance, so she went above and beyond, giving us different options, so that we can get the best price for the prescription ( even though I mentioned I am willing to pay anything to treat the acne). Did not start the prescription yet.

The Location listed is wrong. Dr. Rolla Jaber works for Renewal Dermatology & Medspa now. Locations: Reston, VA and Gainsville, VA. I visited the Reston office. Facility is very clean, open, and lots of light. I waited 30 mins to see her. She is very personable, smiley, and friendly. Dr. Jaber was knowledgeable and diagnosed my skin issue quickly. Fairly thorough. I would recommend her.

Dr. Jaber is knowledgeable, calm, confident and caring. She doesn't rush thru appointments. I have been going to her for the past 10 years and she is exceptional. (The amount paid was a copay).

I wento to Dr jabber last week, it was easy to get an appointment but I wouldn't recommend her to anyone . I had a mild acne and she prescribed some medicine which I had a worst allergy reaction to, I called the office and it was so hard to get the nurse to speak to me , after couple hours I spoke to the nurse and she promised that the doctor will call me once she finishes with her patients, she never called and didn't know what t do with my face.Don't go to her, she lacks professionalism & she wouldn't follow up.

I've seen a lot of derms over the years and none of them have pulled up a chair to sit and talk about my problems. I mean she took her time exploring options with me, explaining things, and stuff. She has great manners, shows care, and one more thing that sets her apart-- she actually took a good look at my skin before jumping to diagnosis. 4 stars to you Dr. Jabers!!

After reading some of the reviews for the practice this doctor is in I was pretty skeptical, but I had a great experience overall. I was surprised when I mentioned maybe needing cosmetic services, she didn't instantly jump to sell me expensive treatments, rather offered a few over the counter options and a treatment plan. She's very personal as well.
