Always so nice to my kids!

So I have been going the CHKD for 9 years and also when has my youngest to wanted her to go to the same place! I like it on Manhattan but it was even better when I found out was located in foxhill which is a lot closer! So I’m only given this review due to my last 2 experience which was beyond ridiculous and unprofessional! My youngest is terrified of going to the doctors (I think she thinks she is going to get shots, but the last nurse should not work with babies or kids at all! When she was trying to check her in and do her weight and height my baby was screaming and crying and didn’t want her to touch her,but instead of her reassuring her making her feel safe or comfortable she just said you gotta hold her mom and you got to keep her still nothing nice or helping the situation especially after I told het she afraid of it! She seemed and acted irritated and was rushing us! I wanted to leave because my daughter was so upset! She didn’t say sorry it’s gonna be OK. Anything to reassure anything what is situation? The last situation was, I called the office to speak to Dr. Brock’s to see if I was able to breast-feed my child because I just had major hip surgery and I didn’t know what I was able to do. It took a week for them to call back but by then I already called the CHKD hospital to ask when her nurse did call she didn’t say I’m sorry. We apologize for the late reply or nothing this is ridiculous.

Refused to see my daughter because Dr. Hunt "doesn't want the newborns to get sick" was the excuse Nurse Christina gave me over the phone. Well I guess my daughter can just die...I have been taking my kids here for years and usually have good service but now I totally understand all the bad reviews and ditto them.

I’m not sure why it’s so hard to get a sick appointment. I call , sometimes I don't get a call back the same day then if I do , They don’t have appointments and I have to take my child to urgent care.

This place is a joke! Refused to see us bc the receptionist didnt get us checked in on time yet saw the other person that came in behind us with the same appointment time.

This place should be ashamed of themselves for how they speak to patients on the phone. Disrespectful, dismissive, condescending, and full of attitude. If CHLD were smart they’d remove their name from this place. Disgusted with this practice.

Dr Brock is amazing but staff and property management is rude and disrespectful had a issue went to management and they dismissed me for complaint and as I see here I’m not the first one that has had a problem with her. I complained to her boss he didn’t investigate he just called her while I was on the phone and said they were gonna remove me upon calling any saying that’s violating my rights this needs investigation he said he was hasn’t gotten back to me so I’m awaiting his boss call. Chkd is great I don’t like how they look out for each other even when they are wrong

Office staff / Practice Manager have no idea what is going on. I am a foster parent and booked my two foster children for their 30 day physical (required by law). The practice refused to do it - I was told a multitude of different excuses. 1) they were new patients (this is not true - other CHKD offices could pull up their records and see that they have been seen here before) 2) They are not allowed to do a foster care 30 day physical because they didn't do their 24 hour intake checkup. Again - not true. 3) The Medicaid insurance will not allow them to bill a 30 day physical if they dont perform the 24 hour intake (again, not true!) I wasted a day off work, pulled the kids out of school - so be given the run around by a practice that has NO idea what they are doing. I would avoid going here ever again.
