We have been going to Acorn for over 3 years and I always loved them, until here recently. Firstly, their receptionist is not quick to respond. Whether requests are made by phone or in portal, it's going to be a few days before you hear back. Once I actually didn't receive any word back for over a month until Dr. Scott himself called me to apologize (which was nice). Secondly when I recently tried to make an appointment for my 8 month old, who is a preexisting client, the receptionist said she could not get me an appointment until after he was a year old. The whole reason I wanted to even get him in, was because a month ago he couldn't get in to see the Dr. when he had a severe rash, and his receptionist recommended taking him to kidmed. Which I did, and he was diagnosed with a rare skin condition. I wanted to get him in to see Dr. Iwashyna to get his opinion on treatment and to just have this on my son's record and this is when the receptionist said he could not get in for over 4 months from now. Maybe they have just grown exponentially, and that's why it's impossible to get an appointment. However, I will be pulling my 2 sons records and moving somewhere else. Which sucks, because I really did like this place.

I found them shortly after moving to the Richmond area and I couldn't be more pleased! They are quick and attentive and always have a smile that you can hear even over the phone! I wouldn't dream of taking my kids elsewhere. And they all love going to the Dr wether they are sick or it is a well visit! Can't thank Dr.Scott and their staff enough for all they do!

I love this place. Dr. Scott is so respectful of my wishes as a parent and everyone here is so sweet and caring. Dr. Scott makes me feel heard and these days finding that quality in a doctor is extremely difficult. My favorite part is how small and real this place is! For example, whoever recorded the hold message and hold music is with their kids and you can hear them in the background talking and playing! It made me laugh and was probably the first time ever I was happy to be on hold. I just find this practice to be so refreshing!
