Dr. Plescia has been my primary care doctor for 30+ years and I am a healthy retiree largely due to his care. He takes the time to listen, he is thorough in his evaluation, and clear in his explanations.

I have been with Dr. Plescia for 31 years, he is thorough, informative and spends the time to understand issues, explain test results, and discuss general health during routine annual exams. He has always been proactive in letting me know about new medical and drug information, for example, when the second Shingles vaccine became available and the increased efficacy of it, Dr. Plescia presented the change to me and thoroughly explained the risks of taking the vaccine, and also the complications of getting Shingles should I not take the vaccine. He didn't push but let me decide and schedule on my own.

Fabulous doctor. We live in Florida and still fly back for visits. Utmost professionalism, exemplary customer service, and innovative, that's how I'd describe Dr. Plescia and his practice Herndon Family Medicine.Making an appointment over the phone was easy, and the electronic confirmations, and reminders highlight the practices attention to detail. The office space is new, very clean, and has automated check-in for efficiency. The administrative and support staff are very polite, and it is highlighted by the atmosphere. I never felt rushed, and the wait time was short. Dr. Plescia is a embodiment of the aforementioned with his persona, and attention to detail. He went over all of my concerns, and was very detailed in explanations regarding concerns.I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Primary Care Physician, as multiple members of my family also choose him for care.Noteworthy: Entrance to the office is on the left hand side of the building when entering from Elden Street.

Hands down, the best doctor I've ever met. Schedule your visit far in advanced as he is booked consistently. You don't feel rushed when you get to sit down to tell him your issues, he listens, take notes and gives you instant feedback. He does his homework the day prior before he sees you... Totally fantastic experience.

Today was my first visit to HFM and I saw Dr. Plescia. I haven't had a primary care in several years and was hesitant about trying someone new. I absolutely love Dr. Plescia's bedside manner, professionalism and knowledge. He was kind, caring, and took the time to take my history. So glad ot have found a new doctor!

Aside from Dr. Plescia's stellar bedside manner, caring approach, and time spent with patients, his medical knowledge and accuracy is always spot on.

Dr. Plescia has been my doctor for around 15 years. He is such a wonderful man and doctor. He listens to you and respects that you know your own body. I have a rather complicated disease that multiple specialist missed, but he finally diagnosed. I am so much better because of his care. I also like his staff, although others haven't rated them well. I make it a point to thank them and be friendly, and I have found I get the same respect in return. They have a very busy practice and the staff are always moving, there are no slackers, so I can understand how others might get frustrated, but a understanding and compassion has gone a long way for me and my relationship with them. Plus, Dr. Plescia and multiple other doctors in the practice have won a slow of awards like Top Doctors by Washingtonian Magazine. So, I'm sure demand is high to get in and see such highly regarded doctor(s) . If I have to wait I assume that something important is going on. In regards to having to wait for test results and prescription refills I know test results can take some time, but they don't mind if you follow up if you haven't heard anything. In regards to prescriptions, I've found the quickest way was through the practices online system. The only complaints I have is their technology, which I believe is being addressed, and how they have recorded missed appointments in the past. They had me down as missing appointments that I would swear I didn't miss and I always call if I'm going to miss or be late (semantics I suppose they say one thing and I recall another) . However, it's possible I did, because I do forget things as a result of my disease. I am a particular person so I hope this detailed rating helps others. I rated Dr. Plescia and his staff compared to other doctors I've experienced and I'm middle aged so have seen my share of doctors. I hope this helps others and Dr. Plescia and staff as they have done so much for me.
