MIchael A. Silverstein's Online Review Report Card

He should retire! He is extremely bad at active listening, dismisses any voiced concerns. If you are female he appears to prejudge you as a head case. There is a great disparity in how he proceeds with male vice female patients. Our family will choose another physician.

He's not my PCP but out of desperation I went to see Silverstein for a swollen and extremely painful ear infection, and he told me the problem was TMJ, not an ear infection. I've had ear infections before and I know what they feel like in the early stage hence my visit to try to get ahead of it. He didn't detect the infection at all and did not appear to be bothered about trying. 12 hours later my ear is swollen shut and the pain is off the scale. I cannot hear a thing and now I have to go to an urgent care center.

He is the worst doctor I ever met. I told him I have panic attacks and told me to go to rehab and not get a therapist. He thinks women are hypocrites. I had Breast cancer 12 months ago and told me to get over it! Please do not go to him!

Overall a horrible experience. Horrible customer service and front desk. The front desk is unaware of their own available appointment times and give false and in correct information. Would not recommend using them due to their poor organizational skills, as well as communication skills.This all ended up screwing me into having to now go to the hospital because the pain is so excruciating and no appointments were available at any doctors since it was so last minute, (and so last minute of me being informed that they could no longer see me).

Having been a very satisfied patient of Dr. Silverstein for a number of years, he told me that I was in good health and that I did not need to see him for a few years. Recently, I scheduled a routine physical online after a few years, because it was time. I received an email confirmation. When I showed up for the appointment they said they canceled my appointment, because he was not taking new patients. They stated they tried to contact me. They had my email and phone number, but could not reach me. I explained I was not a new patient and I showed them the email confirmation. The receptionists response was we can schedule a new patient meeting with an LPN in a few weeks. My wife and kids are all customers of Herndon Family Medicine. I can't believe the treatment. Health Care Service is horrible.

Not good at all. I was there for routine medical check up. It was mostly chit chat. Medical check up should consist of at least blood and urine check which were omitted until I asked him to include those. He should have taken seriously when a patient comes for medical check up not just chit chat and things unrelated to medical check up routines. Bad experience period.

Dr. Silverstein has been my Primary Care Physician for many years. I recommend this Doctor for all your basic health needs. Very smart, witty and funny he makes it a pleasure to come for a check up. For all family members easy appointment setting and fabulous staff schedule a visit today.

Dr. Silverstein is easy to talk to, compassionate and wants the best for his patients. He makes going to the doctor an extremely smooth and pleasant experience. Very glad I selected him!

Not good. Was there to do a medical check up. At the end, I did not get much info about my overall health condition except a few pieces of papers to read about my contipation. Also some of the things he did during my visit was completely unrelated to medical check up. Very bad experience and not recommned at all
