Oncology/Hematology Of Loudoun And Reston - Lansdowne's Online Review Report Card

This review is concerning Dr. Moraes and is emotional for me to write.My mother originally made an appointment with Dr. Moraes back in early 2020 for a low white blood cell count that her primary doctor found through routine blood work. She didnt have any symptoms so Dr. Moraes told her that she just had a chronic white blood count and there was no problem. Over the course of a few months my mothers white blood cell count continued to drop so she made a 2nd appointment and Dr. Moraes told her the same thing. After 2 more rounds of blood work and a steady decline of her white blood cells she called the office 2 more times and spoke to the nurse who told my mother that unless she had symptoms Dr. Moraes was not going to do anything for her.After that my mom decided to go to a different hematologist and the doctor there immediately sent her for a bone marrow biopsy.Two weeks later she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Shes being seen at Johns Hopkins now and is 30 days post bone marrow transplant. Thankfully she is doing well.If my mother had listened to Dr. Moraes and not gone to get a second opinion she would still not have been diagnosed with Leukemia because she never had symptoms before the diagnosis.I called and talked to the office manager after all of this and he was very apologetic but what Dr. Moraes did was extremely irresponsible and dangerous.I am writing this review not to slam the office but to share my moms experience and warn people that Dr. Moraes got it wrong this time.If you feel uncomfortable or unheard like my mother did please dont hesitate to get a second opinion.

Dr. Rajendra and the entire staff. They are the best I am so thankful as is my family for the care understanding and kindness I have received.

Dr. Manoel Moraes is a very compassionate and knowledgeable oncologist. My mother was very blessed to have been under his care. He doesnt rush you and takes the time to explain and answer your questions. His positivity and encouragements gives you hope. I would highly recommend Dr. Moraes as your oncologist. The office staffs are very friendly and efficient.

Dr. Moraes is an extremely professional and compassionate doctor. My family and I went to him following a visit to another Doctor who was rude and disrespectful. When we went to Dr. Moraes’ office we were scared and unsure of our path forward. He took the time to patiently explain all the details to us about the diagnosis the prescription and my mom’s followon Care. The care that he showed us is what we should all expect from our doctors. We felt safe with him. Our decision to switch to his practice was an easy decision because of him. Thank you thank you thank you

Dr. Moraes is not only extremely knowledgeable experienced and accomplished in his field but hes also very compassionate and kind. I went to him for a brain tumor. He told me what he does and what I need is not what he can do for me and STILL asked what can I do for you to help you through. Such an AMAZING human being. He connected with me on a human level. A level that some drs become immune to after seeing countless patients with tumors and cancers. And an experience I had had before going to him. He was amazing. His office was amazing. I felt educated and at ease by the end of my appointment. When I was leaving I just wanted to hug him but didnt because Im shy and thought maybe its inappropriate too. Go to him. Youll be so happy you did once you meet him.

AON has destroyed this practice. Their doctors and staff are disrespectful dismissive and discriminating. Not only that but Dr. Barnhill who is now thankfully retired is a quack who does not know what shes talking about or doing.  Dr. Khuu is a bigot who denied me medical treatmentcare. He also lied on my medical report. They both lied and said I discharged the practice when I did notNurses and office manager Cindy were routinely rude and disrespectful over the phone. The front desk constantly screws up paperwork and appointments.Avoid this practice at all cost. Do not trust the care of you or your loved ones to this practice. It is not what it once was since AON took over.

They overcharged me for my visit and I have called them several times to find out the reason and get a refund but they are not returning my phone calls. Its an automated phonemessage system and there is nobody answering the phone so if you have an issue cross your fingers that somebody will listen to your messages return your calls and fix your issues... Good luck

The treatment was wonderful the staff was very caring and as soon as I walked in for my appointments they took care of me I never had to wait for more than 5 mins while they had to prep my unit. The ladies who did my blood work which had to happen twice were very nice and courteous.

Everyone at Oncology Hematology of Loudoun and Reston went above and beyond to help me through my breast cancer. I can not say enough good things about them especially Dr. Manoel Moraes.
