At first I was excited to have Dr. Horton as my primary doctor, but after these last experiences, my perspective has changed. After a few visits with her on a common reoccurring issue, she referred me to another doctor to assist with what she couldn’t quite figure out (no big deal) except when I went to reach out to the doctor that Dr. Horton referred, that doctor wasn’t in that practice or line of work anymore. In addition to this, I needed a prescription filled and it took several days for her to call it into a pharmacy 40 miles away— yes, to the wrong pharmacy. Wish I had a better experience to write about. Definitely made going to the doctors even more discouraging.

She is wonderful. I switched from another physician in the practice to Dr. Horton-Thompson, because she takes the time to listen to what I have to say. Whenever I go in for a visit she asks about my family. She remembers our previous conversations. She has taken everything into account when offering a diagnosis and plan of care. She is the one that recommended a specialist, without me having to beg and convince her that I need one (which has been my experience with other providers). Her bedside manner is excellent. Highly recommend.

Dr. Horton sees both my adult son and my teen daughter. She is compassionate, even with the most difficult of cases, and provides very fair, appropriate and excellent care. I highly recommend Dr. Horton.

Poor communication skills and impatient. Doesn’t seem to be knowledgeable and doesn’t have good listening skills. Very disappointed in the services provided.
