Dr. Boyd was my pain specialist for several years and I miss him dearly.RIP Doc.😢😢

Dr Boyd was my savior. I new he was ill n was so very devastated to just learn a few weeks go of his passing. This man truly was for our cause. I was blessed to be given him as my chronic pain Dr for more thn 12yrs. He was so kind n compassionate always listened n worked so hard to get me functioning somewhat again. I am thankful Dr Sharon Baker helped for a short time n nw I as well as many others are lost without Dr Boyd. No1 cares nor wants to tackle this pain that I have endured since 1997. Dr Boyd helped me thru my fusion surgeries n I am terribly sad I never was able to say thank u nor was I able to say goodbye to the most incredible Dr for my cause. I pray often that u can hear me Dr Boyd when I say I'm ever grateful u were put in my life and am lost without your help and understanding. May u rest in peace. God took u way too quick n soon. May God bless ur family after such a great loss he spoke of u to my husband n I often n was so proud. Kat Gauthier

I am so sorry to discover that Dr. Boyd has passed away & truly hope that his patients will be able to find someone else as compassionate & caring as he was. I was one of the first chronic back pain patients for whom he prescribed morphine in 1987, when he literally risked his license to treat me. It made the difference between almost no quality of life and optimal ability to enjoy life for me. After having been treated by other Drs. as if I was faking the pain in spite of it being so severe I couldn't keep food down, it was such a relief to be believed & treated with dignity by Dr. Boyd. I appreciated that he took time to ask how my busband & kids were coping. He even continued treating me after I moved to BC in 2005 until I was able to find a Dr. who was willing to take my case. He will be sorely missed!!! My heartfelt sympathies go to his family, whom he adored.

I was a patient of Dr. David Boyd for 9 years. He was a great physician, one of a kind. I have had no luck trying to find a doctor that will treat my pain like Dr. Boyd has. If anyone knows of any such Doctor close to him can you please let me know. Help is needed. I have just realized of his passing a couple minutes ago on here. He was an extremely intellegent, caring and dedicated Man/Physician. Nobody will ever fill his shoes!

The medical community has lost one of the most attentive, compassionate practitioners around. Dr. Boyd treated my boyfriend for his chronic pain for a little over 10 yrs. and never once doubted him. He will be missed immensely. His shoes will be hard to fill. RIP Dr. Boyd. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I wuld not likely b alive today were it not for Dr. David Boyd. The only complaint I would have is it is really difficult to get the staff to call back on apptments when U have been unable to make one on last visit due to leaving the appt. at noon. I have been trying to get a return phone call for about three weeks now. Otherwise I would highly recoment this Doctor to anywon. If anyone can solve the problem it would likely b him.

I feel so ignorant I had no idea of his condition! I can honestly say if not for this man I would not be living! True statement when all others refused he was the only one that would even hear me out This man is a gift of life for me and many others This sounds greedy but true from heart I pray non stop he gets healthy again not just me but thousands of lives he touches direct and indirectly families and friends of patients also I will not only miss him if god does not answer or prayers but I and sure many others will have no choise but to join him but considering what we have surpassed to many this will be a lot easier than life itself I have been with him since 97 or 98 and been a hell of a ride but I thank and pray for you many times a day and hope you receive just rewards LOVE THIS MAN WITH ALL MY HEART THANX FROM N!OT A!LL T!HERE

Dr.Boyd, you gave me hope when i had none,you gave me back my life when i was on the verge of ending it.I even prayed to God when i found you,i thanked him for bringing Dr.Boyd into my life.Now today i have just found out that Dr.Boyd is very ill and about to fight for his life.I have never been more afraid,i feel so alone,Dr.Boyd gave me the chance to live now i am so scared,oh my god please get better.You gave me the will to live and i truly love you for that.I was the one who brought Dr.Boyd a coffee and a muffin on every visit,he was like my best friend.I will pray for you ,There is nothing that i would not do for you,please,please get better.I will pray every night for you.Dr.Boyd,there is no other man on this earth that can compare to you.

I am without words to express my sorrow in learning of Dr. Boyd's illness. I feel I would not be here today if it weren't for this man's compassionate heart, wisdom and professionalism towards those who are dealing with severe chronic pain. Dr. Boyd I thank YOU for being the best doctor around! I feel both privileged and honoured to have had you treat me as your patient. Twelve years you treated me kinder than any other doctor. You are a wonderful person and will never be forgotten. - Laura
