I went to Dr Kugler for pain I was having on the outside of my right foot. He looked at my foot and suggested that I have been wearing shoes that were too small. He told me that I have a bone problem and that it would require major surgery, he never even did a x-ray!! . I went to another doctor in Leesburg first a second opinion, he ordered an x-ray, that realed no bone problem and determined it was an ingrown sweat gland. He removed it in hia office and my foot is fine. I would not recommend Dr Kugler at all. Not only did I find him incompetent, he also has a horrible bedside manner.

I had a bunionectomy that he performed at Inova Lansdowne. It didn’t go right for me. I live with chronic pain and neuropathy as a result. My big toe overlaps my second toe worse that it did before the surgery even with the hardware he placed. My pain was so bad after the surgery I kept going back to him. In tears. They treated me like a drug seeker. If I could take it all back I would. The numbness goes up to my knee and I constantly have to wake and stretch my foot at night. The first year after surgery was hell as I developed restless leg syndrome with the neuropathy. I felt like he turned his back on me. Too bad, nothing he could do. Which I guess was true, the damage was done. I would not have him surgically repair my bunion. I wish someone would have wrote this for me.

I hadn't seen Dr. Kugler in many years because the treatment and shoe inserts I received provided lasting relief. When I saw him recently, it was because I had lingering pain from an ankle injury months before. I was concerned that there might be a fracture, but he took x-rays and reassured me that my bones were intact! He gave me some helpful advice, and if the issue doesn't resolve I'll pay him another visit with confidence. Your feet are in good hands with Dr. Kugler!

Dr. Kugler is a good dude with a solid demeanor who knows his way around a foot and ankle. I’ve seen him multiple times over the years and I’d recommend him to anyone.
