Tareq Abedin's Online Review Report Card

Phlebotomist having a bad day and was a bit rough and close to jabbed my arm to draw blood. Have a bruise at sight point. It’s been a week. Don’t remember having a bruise after blood work before.

I am new at this office but i found this is not good please because they charge more for when you late or cancel but when you go to office you have to wait alot to get you tretment

I've been a patient of Dr. Abedin's for almost a decade now. I appreciate Dr. Abedin's candor and advice when I go in for my checkups.

This used to be a good practice but it no longer is. I have been trying to get a letter of medical necessity from them for more than a month. I called and the person who answered the phone refused to take a message. They insisted that I use the website to request it. I did that. 2 weeks later nothing happened. I called again. Requested on the website again. Called again. Called again. Every person says they will get back to me and not one of them actually does it. So now I will have to pay $1,500 for a CT because this office can't be bothered to help me. I will never go there again.

Dr Tareq Abedin had some valid suggestions, full of value. However, his approach and interaction was definitely awkward at times. I am also noticing based on other reviews that the ones where the doctor received minimal stars are when he met with toddlers and babies, which resonated with my experience. Why be a pediatrician when it seems like you have a lot of aggression stored up inside of you as it pertains to parenting toddlers and how others interact with their kids? Observations made: - Asked me why I have Medicaid (not sure why he would ask) - Kept looking at my wife when discussing my son's (3 yrs old) "Arrested Development" instead of making eye contact with the both of us since I was literally sitting right next to my wife, and mind you, my first language is English while my wife speaks broken English. - Tone/Energy when the doctor walked into the room was not very positive - he seemed very, very, passive aggressive towards my wife and son. There are ways to engage and still get your points across, but the doctor seems to have a lot of opportunities with regards to his communication style and the lack of flexing to match his audience/patients. - A very one sided diatribe which made me think of the saying that some "Listen to respond, instead of Listening to understand" There was barely any meaningful dialogue. Could have, and should have been more pleasant - but I also don't want to get this twisted...you can be bold and direct while providing a more pleasant experience. I appreciate folks that are Direct, but there is a way to get your straight to the point suggestions across and still make it pleasant mitigating fluff and the sugar coating -

I preface this by saying I am a dentist and fully appreciate high quality care and knowledge, as well as help and accuracy with insurance. Dr Abedin is a 5 star physician in every way. Most of all he and his staff are 5star people. Highly recommend if you can get an appointment because of his popularity.

Office not very organized. Made an appointment a week ago, received a confirmation from Zocdoc, but when I went for the appointment they didn’t have me in the appointment. They blamed Zocdoc, for not notifying them of my appointment. The receptionist said Zocdoc has failed to notify them of appointments many times before. As a Clinician myself I find this hard to believe. Not only did they blamed the service they are providing patients to make appointments but they also let the problem perpetuate. I find this very disturbing and disappointing for an office with many good reviews. I chose this office last year because Dr.Abedin has a decent reviews/rating. I hope you read my feedback and try to be more organized. Im giving a four-star based on my visit last year.

If I could put 0 stars I would. Terrible experience. Rude. Insurance fraud. Don't trust positive reviews, probably friends, staff, or family. First time, went for a physical then he added additional blood test for no reason, just to charge more (then blames "bad" insurance for not taking care of it/an extra $300 i had to pay). Second time, went with the lady to talk about getting a prescription, that was just okay, still was taken in after my appointment time. Third time, showed up before my scheduled appointment, was taken in 15 minutes after my appointment, then was sent to one of the rooms in the back, and had to wait for 35 minutes before the doctor came. It took 5 minutes to get my refill prescription and i was on my way. A week or two later i get mailed a $270-ish bill after going back and forth with the useless front desk people.. who blamed the insurance I spoke with the insurance rep and they said I was build the amount because of a 40+ minute doctor consultation. WHAT! Spoke with office front desk.. and got no where. WARNING! Save yourself money, time, and peace of mind, seek medical care elsewhere.

If I could give 10000 stars, I would!! I have been seeing Dr.Tareq Abedin for nearly 3 years. After I witnessed his level of professionalism and care, I decided to take all of my family members to his practice and now he is a reliable doctor not only for me, but also for my entire family members. When I first went to see Dr. Abedin for annual physical cheek, I had many red flags including high LDL(Bad Cholesterol), high sauger level and way too much weight for my height. He took too much of his time to explain each and every aspect of the situation that I was in and gave me the road map and the corrective measures that I should take to reverse the negative situation and improve my health. Thanks to his patience and tireless effort, I have now rediscovered myself and also gained full control of my health and life. If you need a holistic doctor who considers and treats each and every aspect of your health (Body, mind, social, environment), Dr. Tareq Abedin is the best and right person for this. I believe that the level of professionalism for a medical doctor should not be only measured by his/her ability of knowing what disease we are suffering from, but also by knowing how to heal it with the right combination of treatment. I have never taken any medication and did what Dr. Abedin advised me to do and now I am in a perfect health condition. The practice is generally terrific! My genuine observance has proved to me that Dr. Abedin combines expertise and willingness to listen and discuss each and every aspect of his patients' health. From his excellent treatment, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect with his patients', it is very easy to feel and know where you stand immediately and what the next steps look like. Attention all doctors and practices out there, if you want a masterclass in watching a doctor bring medical knowledge and change every aspect of his patients' life, watch Dr.Tareq Abedin. Terrible. We recently took our 2 year old daughter to see Dr Abedin after an ER visit and discharge due to concerns of a prolonged fever and rash. After ruling out COVID, he wrote it off as a typical virus that needs to go through its process. 1 1/2 weeks later we checked her into the ER and she was admitted to the PICU for Acute Liver Failure and 2 days later diagnosed with a rare and deadly disease known as HLH. She has recovered from Acute Liver Failure, but is still fighting HLH and will be for the next several months. The worst part is the diagnosing doctor at the hospital called Dr Abedin and updated him of her situation and offered to educate him and his practice on HLH as he had no knowledge of it, but he refused. If you want a doctor that cares enough about his patients' care needs and the medical field, do not go to Dr Abedin.
