Dr. Paauw made my eye surgery easy. He is very professional and explained every detail along the line. He is honestly concerned about the well being of each of his patients. You can not say that about a lot of Doctors these days.

I would recommend Dr. Paauw and Piedmont Eye to everyone needing eye care. From the COVID screener as you enter to the Doctor and his entire staff, you are met by friendly people whoi seem to genuinely care about you. I had cataract surgery on both eyes, and everyone was interested in my comfort and confidence, both from Dr. Paauw and his staff, as well as everyone at the Surgery Center of Lynchburg. Many thanks to all of them.

Not only was Dr. Paauw able to restore my vision from legally blind in one eye to 20-20 for the first time in 25 years, He is a great person. He and the entire staff actually care about the patients. The entire staff is friendly,kind,helpful as well as knowledgeable. They were able to answer all my questions,never tried to rush me and put me at ease. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

As an ophthalmologist, I had the pleasure of referring patients to Dr. Paauw during his time in Kansas City, as well as consulting with him on patient care. His knowledge of patient care was outstanding and complete. His patients could tell how much he cared for them. It was a tremendous loss to Kansas City when he left, though a tremendous gain for his new patients in Virginia. He is wonderful physician and person. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Paauw recently did my cataract surgery. He put in a special lense that allows me to see so well. I have glaucoma too and he has been treating it for years. I feel confident because Dr. Paauw is so talented in glaucoma treatment and cataract surgery. It is obvious that he is a Christian man and he is so kind. I appreciated so much that he had a prayer with me before my surgery. God ...

Very Pleased I am 75 , and, was horrified to be diagnosed with cataracts that needed surgery. I was convinced, by Dr. Paauw’s professional and reassuring approach , that cataract surgery was necessary, corrective, and safe. I talked to several other patients of Dr. Paauw’s, and felt positive about the procedures . Results are excellent. I am a botanical artist, and am back in the studio, adjusting to drawing without my nose practically on the paper! ( Not to brag, but my ‘distance’ vision is better than 20/20, and my ‘near’ vision is beautifully sharp.)
