List of Ahsan Q Jafir's Reviews
I’ve had heart disease for over 12 years and seen several cardiologists. Dr. Jafir is an excellent doctor and I will continue seeing him as long as we live in this area.
Terrible with time management. Appointment for 3:20 pm. Asked to arrive 15 minutes early. So I get ther at 3:00 sharp. Not taken back until 3:40. Didn’t see the doctor until 4:20. Guess his time is more important than mine. Won’t be going back again. Anyone wanting to waste their time will be glad they went.
Dr Jafir ER doctor on duty and checked me into the Prince William hospital through the emergency room late in January 2018. I spent that week as an inpatient and never saw him again until he signed my release. I had another serious incident that Wednesday night, but the nurses couldn't get a response from him for 6 hours. When they did, they were amazing in bringing me out of AFIB and reducing the pain level. I was scheduled a follow on appointment with Dr Jafir 2 weeks later but got rescheduled for March 6. I found myself back in the emergency room in February, the staff were unable to get a hold of him. By the way, his office is located in the Prince William hospital complex. The emergency room doctor advised me to contact Dr Jafir. When I tried 2 days later, it was relayed through his nurse that my heart condition is considered very painful and ending up in the emergency room in distress is to be expected. So now it's been 7 weeks and I have still never had a conversation with Doctor Jafir about my condition so I cancelled my appointment for tomorrow. I was curious to see if he would actually talk to a patient, but it wasn't worth my time or effort. 7 weeks of suffering and he has continued to be too busy and too important to even talk to me, not even a return phone call. Curious to know if he's been too busy to file/sign insurance paperwork for reimbursement for all he has done for this patient.
I have been going to see Dr. Jafir for 2 years now and have always received quality care from him. He is thoughtful, considerate, and takes time to answer your questions.
I scheduled an appointment for 4pm today. It was scheduled weeks in advance and I was called two days ago to confirm my appointment at 3:40pm. I said my appointment is at 4...they said we need you to arrive at 3:40 for a 4pm appointment. I already took off work early to arrive at 4 and there was no mention of the need to arrive 20mins before hand. The office refused to see me and offered to reschedule to October 16th at 3:40. No apology nothing. Very rude front desk staff. I do not recommend this office and I am a nurse. I wouldn't recommend any patient deal with this office and there terrible patient care!
Initially, I had 2 concerns. That Dr. Jafir's office earliest opening for new patients was 3 weeks out and the association with Prince William Hospital, which doesn't have the best of reputations. Since my heart palpitations were stress related, I decided to wait and was glad I did. Dr. Jafir was amazing -- intelligent, patient, understanding, and he took all the time I needed to understand the issues I was experiencing. Follow up appointments were quick (< 1 week). Friendly staff!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
