How was my daughter's recent visit. Well it took me from a Monday to a Friday to get the appointment. You have to sign up for My Chart and I did that. They also signed her up for My Chart, so my daughter now has 2 my chart accounts, one I can access and one I can't. She was to have bloodwork which included cholesterol-did they go the cholesterol test NOOO. It has been a fiasco with Dr. Gill's office since they joined up with INOVA. A very incompetent office. I left all her paperwork with the front desk person and the nurse asked the same questions I answered on the paperwork and put into the My Chart. Prince William Family Medicine is extremely INCOMPETENT!!!!! And Dr. Gill just brushed off the fact that she has/had a sinus infection.
She asked can I examine you now in the middle of my questions during my physical to try to stop me asking any more questions. Told her about a condition I was diagnosed with but she did not do screening for it during exam. Suggested I go to counselor because I was asking questions.
Patient, caring and extremely detailed
Dr. Aman Gill has been my doctor for many years. She is a very good physician who listens to my concerns and makes the appropriate diagnosis. It has always been easy to make an appointment and the wait is generally no more than 15 minutes. The nurses and the rest of the staff have always been very friendly and professional.
I have a history of ear infections. I have a deviated septum which causes problems in my right ear. I made an appointment to see a doctor at the Manassas office and she was the one that came in to see me. The first thing she did was start yelling at me that I was pre-diabetic and that I had to do this and that. Wait a minute, I said, where did you get the idea that I was pre-diabetic? Your test results show it! she tells me. Lady, I'm sorry, I said, but I haven't even been in here in over a year, what test did I take and when? Well, she looked a little taken aback, but changed the subject and asked me why I was there. I told her my right ear hurt. She took out her light, quickly looked in my ear. Told me she didn't see anything wrong and said I could leave. She then high tailed it out of the room. So, I went to the office in Gainesville the next day and was diagnosed with an ear infection. I have since had at least 3 physicals done by 3 different physicians and not a one has found any evidence of diabetes, pre or otherwise.
Dr. Gill's advice to eat more healthy foods was not at all helpful when dealing with a real and fairly urgent health issue, one that other specialists did address with real treatments. Didn't find it necessary or sensical to explain that I eat lots of healthy foods and am a healthy person; this was not relevant to my issue. Her advice was not helpful and actually the opposite.
I really like Dr. Gill. She's very friendly and responsive to my questions.
I am happy to have met Dr. Gill. When I first met her, she asked all the right questions and I felt was very efficient. In looking at my meds, she asked about previous and their effect they had, she just didn't look at the surface. She offered advice that I had never gotten from previous doctors, she made suggestions for new and updated meds, which worked wonderfully. Her bedside manner was great and I felt her compassion was genuine. I do recommend her to all my friends searching for a new doctor.
USELESS. She makes no medical decisions, only referrals. If I am early, and the staff is late in checking me in, she accuses me of being late, and tells me she cannot give me my full scheduled time for the visit.I went there because of the location and it's affiliation with Fairfax Family Practice. I walk out worst than when I walked due to wasted time and having to follow up with a different doctor. Gave her the benefit of doubt, and went back - NO MORE.
Overall the care is adequate. I can get through an exam during one of my lunch breaks. The only negative thing(s) I have to say is Dr. Gill always says to eat right and exercise as the answer to most everything and once I had a UTI with blood in my urine and the office staff told me to go to an urgent care. It was snowing and they were trying to close down early but my symptoms weren't apparent until right before I tried to schedule an appointment.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
