Jonathan R Amy's Online Review Report Card

Dr Amy cared for my late wife of 50 years who. He diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. He was always very calm, caring and compassionate for his Patients. A referral to Dr Pagan helped her deal with,it until the FDA kept delaying a trial. She then gave up and passed. But Dr Amy was a big help.

Dr. Amy is spiteful and bitter. He falsified medical records, causing a lot of problems for me.

Saw Dr Amy for six years. He was incredibly helpful and listened. Great in-office etiquette, great follow through, very thorough.

I went to him for help with a horrendous migraine. The first visit I had had it for 4 weeks and he told me there was nothing he could do or give me for the pain. He prescribed a CT Scan and a follow up in a month. The second visit was before my scheduled follow up. I have had the migraine for 8 1/2 weeks. I was in tears, my work is suffering, I can't take care of my kids and my husbands is frustrated. He looked at me and said What do you want me to do?. Not the kind of care I was looking for.

I was scheduled for a 9:15 am appointment and drove over an hour to get to Dr Amy. When I arrived I was informed that I was supposed to be there at 8:45 am which no one ever informed me to do. I was not even called the day before with any reminders for the appointment. The receptionist informed me that my appointment was actually at 9:00 am and I had arrived at 9:10 so I would have to reschedule the appointment. I am completely dissatisfied with how I was treated.

The front staff are HORRIBLE and I do mean HORRIBLE they don't make eye contact, can be extremely rude and unprofessional but I believe it's because they are stretched thin and lack proper administrative etiquette and not because they are just mean people. Dr Amy however, is the best doctor I have seen. He is extremely thorough and really advocated for me when my insurance company gave push back. Upon initially arriving to his office I had records faxed in from all over the place and it was evident in our first meeting that he had read every report. That meant a lot to me because the practice I visited prior to this one I had to remind the neurologist every visit of all the reports that HE had done. He didn't remember what we had discussed and he didn't take the time to review and or take notes. Very discouraging, but I am thankful I found Dr. Amy.

Worst doctor ever. Just seemed to like charging my insurance. He never did anything to help me. Matter of fact when I asked for help filling out forms he with malice filled them out. I have no idea why he did that. I just have to guess he has serious problems. A lot of those psychiatrists do.

If I could give zero stars I would have. While I sat waiting for Dr. Amy for more than 40 minutes I listened to his office staff talk, gossip and whisper about patients which I found to be extremely unprofessional. When I finally was acknowledged the office staff pointed at my husband and said 'Who is this'! in an extremely unfriendly manner. I stated it was my husband and she then went back to ignoring us which was very bizarre in my opinion. It was clear that Doctor Amy had not read any of the medical reports that were insisted be forwarded to his office. The visit was a complete waste of time and I ended up finding a much more competent neurologist who actually listened and cared about what I had to say.
