I read Dr Severson’s book before I contacted her to treat a family member. She is very knowledgable and it is evident that she is compassionate and very focused on providing the best possible care. Excellent physician who helped us through a very challenging time.

I found Dr.Severson to be easy to talk to and open minded. She listened and cared.

Dr. Severson is a colleague of mine and I have found her to be deeply engaged in each of her patient's needs. She has a genuine caring heart for people and wants to help relieve them from their suffering. I would send my own family to her.

I have known Dr. Severson both professionally and personally for several years. She is more than competent and cares about her patients a great deal. None of the issues I have ever had professionally were a result from Dr Severson. Instead take the complaint where it needs to go.....the nursing home staff. I have had more than my fair share of issues getting correct information from them. Dr Severson makes sure her patients are given the attention they need. She is very approachable and helpful.

Over the years I had mumerous experiences with psychiatrist, couldn't get anywhere until I was recommeded to Dr Karen Severson, the moment I sat down with her. It was a big difference she went over my history. she prescribe the right Meds for me. Dr Severson is a Dr. Who truly cares about her patient. I have to give Dr Severson high praises for getting my life back on track. I heard from Drs & patient that dr Severson is the best psychiatrist they have ever work with. Dr Karen Severson truly cares about her patient & not only the patient the family also. She always keep the family updated on any changes, she's going to make. I highly recommend Dr Karen Severson , she's the best in Palm Bch County.

Dr Severson is the most knowledgeable and most compassionate psychiatrist I have ever worked with. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of psychiatric care.

I was a patient in a nursing home for more than four years, and Dr. Karen Severson helped me through a incredibly difficult mental and physical breakdown. She spent at least an hour with me almost every week, and was concerned with my overall health, not just psychiatric issues. With her care, working in tandem with my other doctors, I was able to began my life again. I am now living in an assisted living facility in my own apartment, and have a great quality of life. She was very vital in this progress. She has warmth and humor that I have never found in my other psychiatrists. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Severson instantly diagnosed my mother over the telephone with a condition that takes six to twelve months of medical observation. She relied on a rude PA's interview, didn't even come to select. Refused to review other medical records of neurologist. Yelled and argued like a teenager with me about these issues. She in dangerous.

My Mom is in a nursing home and Dr. Severson is on board there as staff psychiatrist. She is never available. Her assistant is rude and never answers your questions directly. I am not surprised by the negative comments.

Dr. Severson is an excellent and ethical physician. She displays vast knowledge of geriatrics and adult mental illness. She is probably the best psychiatrist in nursing homes. I have worked with several psych MD in Skilled Nursing Facilities, and I am willing to say that Dr. Karen Severson is the very best. If someone takes the time to write something negative about her, it is probably because she refused to do something unethical and refuses to let people that lack the credentials to dictate her care and treatment. Her number one priority is her patients.
