Parking is terrible at the doc office. So if it hurts to walk, don’t book here. It is impossible to actually speak to the doctor regarding follow up without making an appointment. She disappears into the back of the office and only answers calls from her staff. During your 3-4 minutes she gives you , she may ask questions about how you are doing and when you say your pain you have had for years is beginning to depress you, just brushes it off. The woman at the front desk in DC is harsh and rude. I have been to Dr. Gerres twice and will be looking for another doctor.

I saw Dr. Gerres one time. I may have caught her on a bad day. She didn't seem to want to answer my questions. Worse, she misdiagnosed me. Various interactions were not reassuring. So I got a 2nd opinion from a highly recommended orthopedic surgeon specialized in feet. After more diagnostics, it turned out I didn't have a fracture at all, just a bone bruise and a strained tendon. I'm glad I got a second opinion so I didn't spend 8 weeks on crutches unnecessarily.

Dr. Gerres provided an incorrect diagnosis that perpetuated my medical issues. I got a second opinion (and a correct diagnosis and treatment plan) and immediately my foot problems got better. The office incorrectly billed me for a mid-April visit that was supposed to be covered by insurance. After following up with my insurance provider, I requested a refund at the end of April. I was initially told billing would get back to me in two weeks. In and of itself, that timeframe is ridiculous. It is now June - still no refund. I have called repeatedly and talked to a different person every time. Apparently, billing doesn't have an external-facing phone number. Do they respond to morse code? Smoke signals?

Dr. Gerres is great and I've really enjoyed the team at Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic. I have really appreciated Dr. Gerres and team's professional but personable demeanor. I actually feel like they care.
