List of National Spine And Pain Centers Mclean's Reviews
My June 10 fall resulting in three fractured vertebra led me to a recommended doctor at McLean National Spine and Pain. NOTE: if it matters whether you can see your doctor in person after surgery while still in pain, continue reading. Imagery, PA consults led to July surgery when I had a 5-minute consult with doctor before corrective surgery- kyphoplasties on L2 and T 12. A fractured T 11 would probably heal itself, dr informed my friend after surgery, saying I would remember nothing he said after anesthesia. Ice packs, Tramadol, and Tylenol over the next month did not reduce the pain. Frequent calls to the office, sometimes returned, could not enable me to return and see the doctor about possible next steps. The PA explained, “That’s not how the office is set up. The doctor could call you on the phone, or we could set up a virtual.” No face to face with the doctor. Remembering how she had said if the T 11 did not heal, there could be another MRI to determine the source of pain, PA replied, “I said that at 3 months we WILL CONSIDER an MRI.” At that point, I withdrew from the practice, sought a surgeon at Georgetown Med Star Hospital, and began again with consults, imagery and scheduled surgery. The surgeon repaired my T11 with vertebral augumentatiin, a vertebroplasty and spinejack. Finally on September 12, two months after my fall, I could begin that recovery with cold pack, Tylenol, Tramadol and home health. This month I will have my last follow-up face to face in person with the Georgetown Hospital surgeon. I submit this review hoping to save anyone else a prolonged pain situation with National Spine and Pain, to know how the office is set up. Caroline Jackson
I have been back to see Dr. Kendall for six injections (two different areas) and have an appointment for another one. He is extremely skilled at what he does!
The location, parking and ease of entry into the building is good. The building interior is well maintained. I have always been waited on in a timely manner by front office staff who were polite. I appreciate short wait times and being included in plan of care. Overall, very satisfied with the practice.
Professional and respectful providing successful treatments
I’ve been a patient here many times. I’m always happy to visit this location as the staff are very friendly and reassuring. The doctors have treated me very well and I am extremely satisfied.
More ghosting than a bad Tinder date. I’m not sure what’s going on with the phone system, front office scheduling, or voicemail management, but this office seems unwilling or unable to answer calls or return messages. It’s a basic business issue with an easy fix, and I’m honestly surprised they haven’t lost their charter given this level of disorganization.
The staff and Dr. Kendal feel like family. This clinic is the best to get appointments and follow up appointments.
I really appreciate the office staff and effectiveness of Dr. Kendall's treatments. Casey in particular is always incredibly responsive and worked with me on my scheduling needs, and sent my records in a very timely manner.
The best care.
I made a quick appointment at National Spine and Pain. I came in on Thursday with extreme pain in the right gluteus Maximus and right leg. The culprit was the inferior gluteus nerve. Amanda PA-C saw me. Gave me three Torodol injections in the area of pain, increased my intake of Gabapentin, made an appointment for me to see Brittney my Medtronic expert to reprogram my spinal cord stimulator, which she did. Brittney was great. My scs is now helping me in the area I need it. I can now sit, stand and do stuff. I cannot tell you how thankful I am for their help. They were angels.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
