I’ve been coming to Dr.Sowah since she moved to McLean and encouraged so many others to make her their Dr. too. Thorough and exceptional are just a couple of words to describe the dedication and care she has for her patients. If you tell her there’s an issue, she doesn’t stop until there is an understanding of what it is and why it’s occurring. I wish I could have her for every need I have medically, eyes, gyno, feet... like everything - she has been an amazing blessing for my health! I do miss Amy who managed her front office with care and extreme professionalism many years ago but I don’t go to Dr. Sowah for her receptionist. I go because she is 2nd to none. However, Inova could provide better customer support training to those on their scheduling line and definitely for the people who answer the phones for the office.

to begin with - her staff is really cold and not at all happy to see you! The Doctor also makes the patients wait for a long time inspite of having an appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sowah for 3 years. She is a phenomenal doctor and treats you with genuine concern and kindness. I love the fact that Dr. Sowah does not simply prescribe medication for every issue but offers healthy alternatives for your issues. She is very knowledgeable, patient and her schedule is extremely accommodating. Dr. Sowah has helped me overcome several different health obstacles...with a successful outcome of them all. She is 100% the best!

Dr. Sowah did not like a My Chart message that I sent her and she called me from Ghana! How more caring is that.

I visited Dr. Sowah yesterday for the first time and was actually upset with myself for not finding her before. She was amazing and through. She asked questions I had never heard at a routine medical check up. I felt at ease with her during my visit. Hands down the best wellness visit I have every had.

Dr. Edoo-Sowah is simply amazing! She is thorough and caring; truly the best doctor I have ever had. I recently moved from the area and am tempted to fly up there for appointments because of the trust I have in her. Miss her terribly!

Dr. Sowah is very knowledgeable and has wonderful bedside manners. She has a no-nonsense, honest attitude yet is one of the few doctors that I've ever met that genuinely cares about her patients. She is reasonable, flexible, will go out of her way to make sure she is accessible to her patients, and does not pretend to be an expert of all things. Some doctors will launch into an explanation that is clearly half assed and doesn't fully make sense. She will refer you out if you have a specific question or request that is outside of her expertise. I trust her completely. Even though I moved from Tysons to Fairfax Station/Clifton area, I would never switch doctors. Making the trip to see her is definitely worthwhile.

Dr. Edoo-Sowah, Is a terrific doctor, she really cares about her patients, is understanding, and is truly vested in the health of her patients. She always ensures to respond to your questions and communications, and reviews & discusses results of test results with you. I've been seeing Dr. Edoo-Sowah since she opened her practice in McLean and am very grateful that she is here.

Bingo! Dr. Roma Sowah is the best doctor of internal medicine that I have had the good fortune of calling "mine." She makes you feel as if you are her most important patient, listens carefully to your concerns, is thorough in her examinations, reviews your past records, and demonstrates much tenacity in addressing your health needs. DR.SOWAH IS AN AMAZING DIAGNOSTICIAN and refers you to very skilled specialists, when needed. She calls you personally when she has a concern or when a test result needs further attention. Her staff is a bonus; each member is friendly, proficient, and a facet of your health team. When presciptions are called into the nearby The Medicine Chest, they are usually ready when you arrive. In summary, i give Dr. Sowah only five stars because that is the maximum allowed.
