Dr. Johnson has helped me in so many ways to help manage my Diabetes. He is very personable and I trust him 100%. He is a true professional.

Very responsive and caring. Takes his time with patients and is thorough with his exam. Dr. Johson is efficient and will not waste your time.

I’m not sure about Dr Johnson, but the lady who answered the phone that I spoke with on 9/28/20 was very rude and just plain unhelpful. I will not be booking an appointment here after the way she was so unhelpful. I wanted to know when it would be possible to be booked for an appointment with Dr Johnson, as I have heard he is difficult to get in to see. She said that he is only doing virtual appointments because of Covid, so I asked if he would be able to have me get bloodwork done at a lab since the appointment would be virtual. She said she “did not know” and that I had to have the appointment first.. Well if it's not possible to get bloodwork then I do not need the appointment in the first place! so I asked when is the earliest that I can get in to a virtual appointment.. and she said that I had to call my primary doctor to get a referral before she can even let me know any kind of information about whether it would be 1 or even 6 months to get in to see this doctor.. I need to know somewhat of a date before I go about bothering my primary doctor for a referral (which I told her my insurance doesn’t require anyways) to a doctor that I can’t get into for a very long time. She also said that my primary doctor would be able to give me a list of doctors they could refer me to see. Well obviously I am calling this doctors office because I want to see THIS doctor, as I have heard good things about him. I’m not sure how I call and ask such simple questions about availability / if it is possible to even get bloodwork done during covid, and the receptionist would not know these answers for customers.. as if reasons for seeing an endocrinologist are not stressful enough without jumping through hoops to make an appointment.

There are not enough superlatives for me to sufficiently rate Dr. Douglas Johnson. Expert Endocrinologist and diagnostician; so very efficient; brilliant; kind and caring, and more. After forty years on same thyroid med, and many endocrinologists, he was the first doctor to recognize I was only on T3 and that had caused me to be depleted of T4. I feel he saved my life. Under his care, I have slowly recuperated and am truly thankful to, and for Dr. Johnson. I recommend him to anyone searching for help with hypo/hyper thyroid condition. Thank you Dr. Johnson - you are the best!!!

He was the most condescending and rude individual that I have ever come into contact with. He directly confronted me and asked if I had a problem because I was looking out of the window. I left the office in tears. He had no bedside manner and was cold and rude on several occasions. He did not take my concerns seriously and though my vitamin D was at the very bottom of low didn't think I should supplement. Was in a hurry to give the least information possible and leave as quickly as possible. I know doctors are in a hurry, but he took rude to a whole new level. I have never, ever had a doctor be so rude to me.

Dr. Johnson is on top of his game... you know he is there, cares about you, and you can reach him when needed.... that means so very much.

Dr. Johnson is By Far the best endocrinologist that I have seen in the past 20 years for Type 1 diabetes. His expert knowledge and understanding combined with his genuine concern, care, and compassion results in efficient and informative office visits. He is very supportive and listens and considers what you have explained when he gives you the options and his suggestions. He encourages you to contact him through MyChart and he is very responsive. He is just plain old smart, intelligent, and has a sharp mind. It doesn't get any better than Dr. Johnson! I had to wait 7 months for my first appt, but it was so worth it!!! I encourage you to wait it out!
