Waiting on call for half an hour just to get a hold of someone at front desk. Overall experience with this office over the past 5 years has been 1 star... Edit: so after I finally got someone, 30 minutes into their opening schedule, I get told I can't be seen for a sick visit for another 5 days!!? That it's all booked up. It's a Thursday, 8:30 am. I mean...this is ridiculous! I am " their " Patient. What's the point of having a "family doctor" if you can't see your patients when sick? I'm never going there again. We need to penalize these practices that are not truly patient oriented by making accomodations in a manner to serve the sick - similarly to how an urgent care does. There certainly is a way.

Went to Dr.Simpson for a FAA medical exam and was told that the exam had to be placed on hold until needed documentation could be provided. Drove 1 1/2 hours both ways the same day (a workday) to get the requested documents and he deferred the certificate anyways. There are other FAA examiners around the area. Use them. This guy will waste your time at the least and cause some serious headaches with FAA even though you give exactly what he asked for.

If I could give this place no star I would. It is very unprofessional at this office. I made my appointment a month ago and when I get they the receptionist states that Dr. Hope A. Haffizulla would be upset because she had a patient. Then mind I made the appointment earlier and I get there they say they don’t take my insurance. Y’all knew what I had when you scheduled me. This is the worst office I’ve ever been to in my life and the simple fact they don’t care is disgusting. Like ma’am how the doctor going to be made for doing their job. Never again!

Just had my first experience with them and Dr. Haffizulla. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, which is really important to me (white coat syndrome). The doctor listened to my concerns and addressed them, she didn’t brush by them.

If I could leave NEGATIVE stars I would! Patient care is the least of their concerns. They herd you in and out like sheep trying to see as many patients as possible. Today, We drove 45 minutes for an appointment the Friday before July 4th. We both missed a day of work because he didn't feel well. We live 30 minites east of Tapoahannock, traffice was extremely busy with the weekenders and holiday traffic coming to the weekend and summer homes fornthe holiday weekend. On top of that somone ran out of gas. He called to let them know we got caught in traffic and would be few minutes late. She said the doctor had somewhere else to be and for us to reschedule. We were maybe 10 minutes away. This was an appointment THEY called to make for a follow up ER visit for possible heart attack. If they expect you to be so prompt they need to be more prompt in seeing patients it works both ways! HONESTLY....PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. FIND YOU A PLACE WITH PEOPLE THAT CARE AND THAT CARES ABOUT THE PATIENT!

I’m a Mechanicsville ICU Nurse. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, take your loved ones somewhere else!!!!!!! I brought my Grandmother in today for a sick appointment for Heart Failure. She started retaining fluid yesterday. It has progressed rapidly. I have seen this many times in the ICU. She is potentially a day or two away from an ER visit for respiratory distress. WE WERE TURNED AWAY FOR BEING 10 MINUTES LATE!!!!!!!!!!! After I begged, a receptionist agreed to tell the doctor her symptoms. That she needed medicine to take the swelling down before it affects her lungs. Dr. Haffizula refused to even come to the front desk for a visual assessment (unless the receptionist lied to me about telling the Dr. in order to close the office early) Office manager said we should have arrived early to fill out paperwork. BUT I HAD THE COMPLETED PAPERWORK IN MY HAND!!!! I had stopped by that morning to collect the new patient paperwork and had it filled out and signed before I even walked in the door. I am deeply ashamed of the conduct of this office. This is not a common cold visit, this is an elderly women with congestive heart failure whose health WILL decompensated without care. It is days until the next available appointment. They turned us away for 10 minutes. Double standard?? I have waited over an hour to be seen at this office before. As a nurse, this is clinically inexcusable. As a caregiver to a family member, I am afraid for my loved one in the days we have to wait to be seen. Her edema and work of breathing grows worse tonight.

My brother in law was seen for kidney or uti infection. He was given antibiotics and when he finished the infection rebounded. He was referred by Dr Jones to a Urologist who couldn’t see him for over a week. He went into renal failure after benign seen at an ER center and admitted to the Hospital ICU. I asked my sister if she called Dr Jones to see if he could help her since her husband was going into septic shock. She said have you ever spoken to him on the phone or able to schedule an appointment withIn 24 hours? Her husband passed away.

Staff and nurses are nice but my experience with the NP there was terrible. Probably said 10 words my entire appointment and gave me less information than a Google article. Showed no interest in getting an answer for me, and sent me to a specialist to get re-diagnosed with something because she didn’t “hear” that I told her I was diagnosed with it already. Waste of time and will be switching practices solely because of her.

I love this Doctor because she is Patient, understanding and she makes you feel very comfortable as if you are her only patient. she lets you asks questions and doesn't interrupt you . she is very thorough and listens to your complaints, concerns and requests. I have followed her to every office she has worked in. she just started in a new office vaphysicians 7255 Hanover Green Drive .Mechanicsville VA 23111

Was trying to find a primary care doctor since no one was taking new patients cause of covid and glad I found this place. I had no problem or issues getting an appointment I saw dr. Mallory and she was the sweetest also the nurse Lindsey was nice as well. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a primary care doctor. Staff was nice no problem getting my appointment either.
