Don’t go see Dr. Gosselin if you have a newborn that you want to breastfeed. My little one had difficulty gaining weight early on, and all Dr. Gosselin did was suggest I had low supply and encouraged formula. Even when I spoke with the nurse and she would ask how breastfeeding was going, there was zero support or resources offered. I met another woman in the waiting room who gave up on breastfeeding ...

When my now 6 y/o was born we basically got the luck of the draw as we just went with whichever Dr at the office we ended up with. I’m so glad we did. My daughter was born with a heart murmur like tons of other babies are, he didn’t dismiss it however and we were sent to cardiologist to get ultrasound. Based on findings from the ultrasound and the fact that my daughter had a red spot under her eye he suspected she could have something going on and sent us for scans of her entire body. At 3 weeks old he diagnosed her with Tuberous Sclerosis. This is a very rare disease and we find ourselves having to explain it to almost every new doctor we see but yet he got us this diagnosis at 3 weeks old. He referred us to a neurologist at St. Mary’s who turned us over to T.S. Clinic at Children’s. We had problems with the neurologist communicating however and he failed to call in prescriptions. When he screwed up one time with the prescription we were supposed to be going out of town and needed the emergency seizure med and couldn’t reach him after multiple attempts. We called Dr. Goesslin and immediately, after hours, he got the prescription sent over for us. Neurologist also kept failing to call in the referrals to the clinic at Children’s and so I went to Dr. Goesslin’s office for help. He and his nurse were on the phone for good part of the day off an don finding the right people and getting us in. Throughout the years we have seen several other doctors during sick visits and such where we just see whomever is available since she is mostly seen through her specialist at Children’s now but with the recent birth of another baby we are right back to making sure our appointments are with Dr. Goesslin. He is 100% the best in my eyes.

Dr. Gosselin is an all around excellent Pediatrician. The bedside manners, time that he spends w/ kids and family and the overall feeling that he genuinely cares about your children and family is what makes Dr. Gosselin stand out from the others. Dr. Gosselin will always make time for any concerns you may have with your children. He is very professional, thorough, patient and caring to everyone. If you need a Pediatrician that is the greatest combination of professionalism, patience, understanding, respect, knowledge ability and someone who will genuinely care about your children and family then Dr. Gosselin is the best by far! Our two children have been seeing Dr. Gosselin at the Mechanicsville Office pretty much since their births. Our daughter is 13 yrs. old and our lil' son is 4 yrs. old and they both just love Dr. Gosselin because he is so caring and fun.

Dr. David P. Gosselin is definately one of a kind because he always makes time to listen, talk and interact with our 2 children. We have been taking our 2 children to see Dr. Gosselin @ the Mechanicsville Office for several years and no other pediatrician compares to Dr. Gosselin. Our 2 children love Dr. Gosselin and so do we because he really cares about your children. Dr. Gosselin is the BEST with his bedside manners, spending time with your children and you, follow-ups, promptness, patience and pretty much anything else you need/want in a pediatrician. Overall, BEST M.D. & FRIEND!!!

Dr. Gosselin is a good diagnostician. He has a great manner with teens. He works well with children with special needs. My only hesitation in recommending him is that it may be harder the next time for us to make an appointment with him!

We started seeing Dr. Gosselin when we couldn't get an appointment with our regular pediatrician. He has really spent time building a trusting relationship with our son over the last few years. Trust him completely. So grateful for his patience, time and parenting advice. He genuinely cares for his patients and their families.

My son has been seeing Dr. Gosselin for about 7 years now. My son is socially delayed and ADHD and Dr. Gosselin is wonderful with him. Dr. Gosselin calls me back himself when I have a question and I call the office. My son refuses to go to the doctor's office unless Dr. Gosselin is there. I have told Dr. Gosselin that he can not leave that practice because of the bond my son has with him. He is an awesome doctor!!
