He was my son’s doctor for all 13 years we were in Richmond, Va. Dr. Klaas was always very calm and patient and he took time to listen to all of my concerns. I highly recommend him.

Such an awesome provider! He was nurturing and kind and did not hesitate to educate and inform. He took his time to be thorough and I left with no doubt in my mind that my child was well taken care of during his office visit. We need more doctors like him.

Seriously one of the most thorough pediatricians I’ve ever met. He is very nurturing and attentive to children, and goes out of his way to educate parents without making you feel silly for your assumptions. Such an amazing provider.

I told Dr Klass I thought something was wrong with my newborn because she was turning blue, he assured me that this was normal. He told me “don’t think of her as a sick baby because you will be looking for something to be wrong”. I left the office and went to the ER where she was diagnosed with a heart defect and admitted to the PICU.

Dr. Klaas saw my son as a new patient yesterday and he was incredibly professional with me in answering my questions and addressing my concerns. More importantly, he had a great demeanor with my son, which made the visit very comfortable. So far, would recommend again.

I will not recommend him to anyone. He does not care about the patient and just wants to get a child in an out of the office as quickly as possible. The last time I stopped to have a nurse visit for a blood draw, which should not incur a copay charge. The office took it upon themselves to make my nurse visit a doctor appointment. I spent 15 minutes explaining why a blood draw was necessary to Dr. Klaas. He still said I owed a copay since I talked to him for 15 minutes.

During a recent annual checkup, Dr. Klaas detected a cancerous tumor in my 21 year old son. He is a hero for performing an exam that many doctors don't even do. Because of his diligence, the cancer was caught early enough to greatly improve kiddo's chances for a full, healthy life. Dr. Klaas knows his stuff.

Super solid baby doc, no nonsense. No granola nonsense, he's a big proponent of evidence-based medicine. He won't harangue you about things, but he's explicitly clear about instructions and risk factors.Definitely a confidence builder to have a physician like this. We feel better when we leave, and apart from the two shots so far, our daughter loves him.
