Very caring and thorough.

I showed up at the hospital in cardiac arrest Dr Mark John's and Guzman basically saved my life they put stents in me and they were able to keep me alive and I thank God for men like that it's got a great office they do a good job they kept my father alive and then the same doctors of kept me alive my father had a heart attack at 50 and I had a major heart attack it 50 and Daddy lived another 20 years and I guess I'm working on my next 20 but they were exceptional surgeons and they got the job done and just not a whole lot more you can say that's just my opinion but those men saved my life my life

I have very much faith in Dr. Deguzman. He appears to be extremely competent and has an easygoing, comfortable bedside manner. The nurses are so-so. The office insists you bring in your medications (as opposed to a list). My nurse lost my blood pressure meds summarily called me on a Friday afternoon before my vacation to let me know she had done so.None of this compares to the front office. They appear to mean well but are woefully understaffed. One individual trying to meet the needs of half a dozen people waiting to check in, while still answering each and every new phone call. It's an impossible situation and one that certainly did not meet social distance guidelines. There was a line out of the office door...a line a heart patients and their at-risk caregivers. People were on top of each other. I asked my nurse if my next appointment (just the delivery of my results) could be virtual. This is a service they offer and promote. I was told they would "let me know". My appointment is at 9:30 tomorrow. Having heard nothing, I called at 2PM today for clarification. Of course have heard nothing...No text, no email, no call.Like I said, the doc is great, but that's where it ends. And isn't the other stuff important as well?

Dr. DE Guzman is a great Doctor,listens,ordered appropriate test and proscribed very helpful medication.

I couldn't have found a kinder, patient, thoughtful and patient cardiologist than Dr. DeGuzman. He was referred to us by our Family Physician at Midlothian Family Practice, Dr. Any Marshall, who is one of the two best physicians in the entire area I've ever had/seen. Thank you, Dr. DeGuzman and Dr. Marshall with our outstanding and forthright relationship!

I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Edson De Guzman as my physician treating me for the past five years. He has maintained my problems related to Cardiology. I find Dr. De Guzman extremely knowledgeable, understanding and easy to discuss my medical problem. I have felt well attended to my problem and trust his advice explicitly. Because of my relationship with Dr. De Guzman I prefer to continue to relate to him and his staff and their kind manner of service.
