John G. Barnes's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Barnes has been my Dr. for at least 20 years He is the best. I would hate to think about not having him and his wonderful staff. I recently had surgery and started having a fever. My daughter and I were anxious about it. I called Dr. Barnes (which I seldom do, second time in all of these years)on a Saturday night and got a call back which was very helpful.

John has been my personal doctor for 40 years. He is also a good friend. With all the chaos in the medical industry at this time I depend on John for honest and accurate information about handling any health issues I might have. This is particularly true regarding Covid.

Doctor Barnes has been my doctor now for about 4 years. God truly blessed me with this amazing man. He has the best bedside manner and is extremely understanding and makes me feel comfortable no matter what I’m being seen for. His nurse is awesome too. He has truly been a blessing beyond measure. I am grateful to have him as my physician.

I am always confident that Dr. Barnes is listening and interested in my well being. I really don't know what I would do without him.

Probably the biggest compliment I can share publicly is the feeling I have when I arrive for an appointment with Dr. Barnes. I am always greeted by his warm and friendly staff and the environment is very comfortable as if I were sitting in a cozy living room. I try to catch up with news from the many magazines available prior to going in to see Dr. Barnes, but that rarely happens, as his wonderful nurse, Caroline, greets and escorts me back to see Dr. Barnes, before I can finish the first article. I know it is a very professional medical facility, but to me, I almost feel as though I am saying "hello" to my extended family. Because of Dr. Barnes, I want to be the best that I can be as I know he is proud of me when I have had a great outcome to my physical, and because he spends a lot of time encouraging me to do all the right things so I can still be active long into my senior years. I have been fortunate enough to have been included in the MDVIP as a patient of Dr. John G. Barnes since MDVIP was first instituted. I'm in my early 70's and, for most of my life, as most mothers and wives do, my medical world had been devoted to other members of my family. I remember back to the time when I joined MDVIP thinking this membership was SO personally critical to me in my role as the major medical care person in my family. It is important for me to be healthy, stay ahead of medical issues and address them quickly (while simultaneously caring for other family members). MDVIP membership is my gift to me! I am grateful and appreciate the opportunity of MDVIP. It truly has given me peace of mind to know I can quickly see my doctor when needed, and together, we can build a personalized plan for me to stay as healthy as possible. I also feel accountable as a partner with Dr. Barnes in my own health. Yes, I will continue to place my family as a priority (as mothers and wives do), but since joining MDVIP, I've experienced the most thorough annual medical testing in my adult life (I didn't remember even having baselines previously), and I have comfort and confidence in knowing Dr. Barnes is my medical partner as I move through my 70's and beyond.

He's the best! He really is. I've always felt assured that he has the time and patience to adequately discuss questions and concerns, and I am grateful for someone so proactive and forward thinking.

Always takes the time necessary to explain results and actions going forward, really knows my personal history, a true professional, couldn’t be more pleased.

Dr. Barnes is the epitome of a caring and informed physician. He explains details and conveys an attitude of knowledge and compassion. MDVIP is fortunate to have him as one of its doctors and I am fortunate to have him as my doctor.
