Amazing knowledgeable provider and colleague who I often lean on for guidance during complex medical challenges
Can you imagine actually enjoying a doctors visit? My appointments with Dr Lee are the rare times I actually do. He is always friendly and caring, he thoroughly explains everything in a way you can understand, and is always willing to answer any questions. Most importantly, the medical advise he has given has worked.
Dr. Thomas is a pediatrician that takes her time with you and will answer your questions. Making an appointment to see her is often difficult and I have never waited less than an hour to see her. My family moved from Michigan to Virginia because my now toddler had some health issues. We were between health insurances and had to fill out a form evaluation that took the Wellness visit from 105 to 260 dollars! It was never explained to us that the form was not necessary. She lectured me consistently about avoiding 2nd and 3rd hand smoke because one of my child's grandparents smokes outside away from their home. I explained this to her every time, yet she always brought it up. We live in a town house and share an entrance with a neighbor who smokes. Their smoke is getting inside our home and they refused to smoke further away. My toddler started having breathing problems and contracted pneumonia. I called and asked her to write a letter for our landlord explaining the hazard this was causing for my child. Her nurse called me back to say Dr. Thomas would not write a letter because they were smoking outside. I filed a formal complaint with CHKD's hospital and got a phone call asking if it would be okay to give the portion of my child's medical records where it stated the child shouldn't be around 2nd hand smoke. I declined to have my child's personal medical information given to my landlord. After lecturing me about keeping my child away from 2nd and 3rd hand smoke, she refused to help me keep my child away from it.
Dr. Thomas is very friendly, professional, and considerate of your questions and concerns. She is also easy to talk to and great with children. I would definitely recommend her.
I've been to enough awful doctors to know that Dr. Lee is a rare exception-the one dr I would trust to use well-informed critical thinking to evaluate a problem & find a solution in the patient's best interest. Dr Lee did tonsilectomies on me & my husband. Both went better than expected. His work was fantastic & his bedside manner was exceptional. He always treats us with dignity & REALLY listens to our questions & answers them thoroughly & patiently. I never feel rushed or dismissed or patronized. He has knowledge beyond his speciality that is very rare. Overall, he seems genuinely to care & to empathize with his patients. He takes all components into consideration to find help for chronic problems where other "specialists" are confounded. He is also nice & seems really humble. If we could clone him, the world would be a better place. And unlike all the egomaniacal hacks who practice half-baked medicine & think they're demi-gods, this review would probably make him blush.
Two surgeries later and worse off than before. Plus, add the costs adding up.
Extremely caring; goes above and beyond, especially in difficult cases; always returns patient phone calls. Very, very knowledgeable!
Felt very comfortable with him and with his diagnosis. Saw him at his Columbia practice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
