Lisa Casanova's Online Review Report Card

Dr Casanova is the BEST OBGYN doctor I have ever had. She delivered my daughter 17 years ago by emergency c-section and I have been under her care every since. She calmed me down and comforted me even to the point of holding me while I was getting the epidural assuring me everything would be fine and it indeed was fine I have a thriving healthy vibrant 17year old daughter 😁. This past week Dr Casanova did a hysterectomy on me and again I had the same experience with her even with the difficulties she faced during my surgery. She called me the next morning to check on me and personally visited me every day of my hospital stay. I had a question after being discharged and she personally called me to reassure me I was fine. She genuinely cares for me and my health and I have referred several family members and friends to her and will continue to do so! I could go on and on about her professionalism, great bedside manners, her thorough knowledge of the female body, etc. She has a good sense of humor too and we often share laughs during my visits and even after my surgery she made me smile.

Dr. Cassanova was the worst doctor I have ever visited. I do not recommend anyone seeing this doctor, I was traumatized by our visit and felt very unsafe by the care she was giving for many reasons. I had some issues with my feet that I thought I explained well, she mocked me as if I wasn’t being truthful and indicated in my chart she saw no issues with my feet and didn’t provide support. I had also been advised by someone else to take pepsid for heartburn which I did, I told her it wasn’t working well and she proceeded to prescribe me the same medicine I had purchased over the counter then wrote in my chart that I wasn’t taking the medicine as she suggested even though I clearly said I was. She didn’t listen to anything I said. To top it off she said my baby was “abnormally small” because of “poor nutrition” didn’t ask any questions and made me feel like I had done something wrong. I eat very well but am under 100 lbs. I was crying profusely after our visit. I felt mortified. Horrible

They say high risk but they want to send people to other doctors because really they don’t want to deal with you but they want that check! Evms is their favorite go to and they are rude! They won’t do my gender ultrasound because I am fat have one child was born early snd another one that has a heart problem! It blows my mind how they claim to be for high risk but really they are not!

Wish I could give her ZERO stars! This was my 3rd child birth.. all different but the first time I barely made it to the hospital! I thought I was having Braxton Hicks and my water never broke… it had only gone on for 2.5 hrs and each contraction was random… once I was observed at the hospital I was rushed to a delivery room and didn’t even have a chance for Registration.. IV.. nothing.. she came in half awake and acted so rude to me because I guess I disturbed her sleep.. so unprofessional and rude… thankful my labor went quickly once I was in there!! When I said it hurt (nicer way to put it).. she replied…. “Keep pushing and it will be over?!?!!!!!!!! “ WTH absolute worst experience out of my 3 girls!!

Delivered my daughter back in 2016 and my second daughter in 2021. She was great, I felt confident in her. I healed very fast and I recommend her so much. She's an excellent doctor!!

I have had 3 blood transfusions, D&C and a myomectomy since Novemeber of 2020. However, that was only a temporary fix from another Riverside OBGYN. I met with Dr. Cassanova back in June 2021 in regards to having either a hysterectomy or ablation to stop my cycles and extreme blood loss due to my cycles. She decided on a ablation to be perfirmed and scheduled for July 16th, 2021. I marked my calendar as she suggested. Needless to say I was never contacted by her nor her surgery scheduler as JULY 16th approached. I reached out to her office only to be informed that there was nothing in my chart in regards to the order for the procedure, much less the office visit encounter such as notes that most Medical Professionals document during and after a patient appointment. However, I didnt get irrational and kept my composure as Samantha the office assistant tried her best to investigate what happened and why I fell to the wayside. Needless to say she ended up having to message Dr. Cassanova to let her know that I was still in need of having this procedure done. Samantha assured me that she did her best and should be hearing from the surgery scheduler. Another week goes by..........I reached out to the office again because I heard nothing from the scheduler. Samantha took my call, looked into my chart and still no orders from Dr. Cassanova. Samantha says the surgery scheduler is waiting for the order from Dr. Cassanova before they can call me to schedule the procedure. Understandably so, Samantha sends yet another message to Dr.Cassanova. Another 2 weeks go by still nothing accomplished and no correspondence from Dr. Cassanova nor the Surgery Scheduler. I call her office again today and just like the calls I have made, I got the same rebuttal from Samantha and ultimately nothing accomplished. This whole ordeal has been ridiculously unacceptable. Being in the medical field for close to 20 years and a employee of Riverside myself, I'm absolutely disgusted. My very serious health issue has been dumped at the wayside more than once by Dr. Cassanova. Needless to say she clearly isnt upholding the Riverside Health System Mission: to care for others as we would care for those we love- to enhance their well being and improve their health. If there was a 0 available, Dr. Cassanova would get that rating from me - hands down. On a brighter note, Thank You Kindly Samantha for your help. In my opinion you deserve a 5 star rating for having to even attempt resolving my issue as well as countless others that have fallen at the wayside as a result of Dr. Cassanova's lack of urgency.

Dr. Casanova was excellent. She listened and reassured me about my concerns, and helped develop a plan moving forward that was simple and focused on my needs. She was easy to talk to and I didn’t feel rushed. She even took the time to see if I might be a candidate for extended screening for breast cancer due to family history. I was very happy with my visit.

I went to my Ob ..Today say Dr Casanova,MD ... I Was Upset !! First she didn't wont to give me what I Wanted, then I Felt Insulted !! From Dr.Casanova !! She got ready to Exam Me as If I Was Pregnant .... ! SHE DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT PATIENT !!!! WOW!!!!!! Then I Asked The Dr..For Kleenexes to Clean Of the Jell???? She Didn't Wont to do this ...! I Told the Dr ..This Is Insulting ! ! This Has Happened to me BEFORE !!! Were I Have Been Not Who I AM !!! I Am Not Happy At ALL ... I Would Not Like Any WOMEN !! To Be Treated Like This !!!!!!!!

Dr. Casanova is amazing. She pays attention and asked me good questions that apply to my situation. I found that other doctors haven't done. I understand why they make you see all the different providers but I, personally, like seeing the same Dr. the entire time.
